Budget Hotel

Posted Sep 18, 2016
Good breakfast, friendly and cooperative staff, close to metro, clean room, elevator, walking distance to La Bastille, Pere Lachaise cementary and Le Marais area. Hotel area is safe, these are the pros. The cons Paris could get really warm in September, if that happens you need to get a round oscilatory fan since the room does not have AC, and you do not see Sacre the Cors Cathedral.

Cannot provide a receipt directly

Posted Aug 18, 2016 on Hotels
The system in terms pf providing the receipt was inefficient. They could not provide a direct receipt and instead had given us a hand written with stamp on a plain paper. The staff were not so accomodating and friendly. We met jack upon checking out and he was very good compared to the rest at the desk. The staff at the dining were all good though.

Nice hotel in a excellent location.

We have stayed here many times and like it. The staff is friendly and all speak English well. The hotel is on a quiet side street but the metro and several bus lines are nearby.

Close to train tunnel, very friendly staff and helpful. They were able to communicate in English for us. Breakfast included. We were able to store it luggage after check out. Neighborhood was good.

Everything you need

15 minutes from Gare de Nord by Metro - to Voltaire - and a 3 minutes stroll to the hotel. Comfy beds/pillows/duvet. Blackout curtains. Quiet rooms at the back. Helpful staff.

City Hotel with Tiny Rooms

Posted Jan 27, 2016
Pros: Proximity to Metro
Cons: Bathroom design Respectfulness of cleaning team
Location: Close to Jim Morrison's grave
The hotel is located close to the Metro and lots of small stores, but unfortunately the rooms were disappointing. We asked for a bigger room, since our first room barely had space enough for the suitcases. The upgrade featured a bathroom without hooks for towels, the shelf in front of the mirror wasn't level, so nothing could be placed on it, and there was no shower curtain. The keys had to be given to the front desk every time we wanted to step out even for a few minutes, sometimes we had to wait a while until somebody was available to return the key to us when we came back. All that fell under the category "you get what you pay for," but what was really a deal breaker for us was the fact that they bothered us every day with phone calls at 9am to ask if we wanted breakfast or room service. Despite repeated complains this never stopped, until we unplugged the phone. Consequently they knocked on our door instead, and even dared to enter and clean the room in our absence although we had the "do not disturb" sign on the door. The management promised to instruct the illiterate cleaning ladies on the issue, but they still entered against our wishes and placed fresh towels on the desk, although we explicitly stated we didn't need them. The hotel itself was just a little below average, but due to the lack of privacy and peaceful mornings we will NEVER STAY THERE AGAIN.
