Great location , near the station.

Location is a plus as it's near Gare du Nord station. The room overall was not satisfactory clean , but it's ok as they have nice clean and comfy bed sheets, can't complain as we've all slept well .Staffs are very nice and accommodating , they also allowed us to check in early & check out early and leave our luggages whilst doing our last few hours tour of the city ,before catching our Eurostar train going back to London.

Well priced and adequate accommodation in Paris

Posted Nov 16, 2016
Pros: The young man at the reception desk.
Location: The area around the hotel is, as normal, somewhat run down and there are some questionable looking characters hanging around, especially after 8 PM.
The room I had at the Hew Hotel - Gare du Nord was basic but clean and very well priced. Its best feature is that it is directly across the street from the Gare du Nord so if you arrive there, say by Eurostar from London, it is a very convenient choice. The room was reasonably large for a budget hotel, indeed huge by London standards, and the young man who managed the check in desk was both courteous and very helpful. The building is old of course and hence the lift is tiny and the stairs are narrow and spiral - not a place for folks who are not steady on their feet.

Nice convenient hotel

Posted Aug 29, 2016
Pros: Proximity to local transport, restaurants. Reasonable price, clean with good facilities for the price you pay,. Breakfast is always good and cheap.
Cons: It would be nice to have the facility to make a hot drink in your room.
Location: Next to the Gare du Nord means you have access to the whole of Paris and beyond. It is also in easy walking to Sacre Ceour and Monmatre
The beauty of the New Hotel is its proximity to the Gare du Nord. The hotel is only approx 50 m away and is surrounded by restaurants as well as being within walking distance of Monmatre, We have stayed at this hotel on several occasions and have always found it to be good. The breakfast is extremely reasonable at 7 euros 50 .

Convenient in every way

Posted Jul 1, 2016
Pros: everything
Cons: nothing
Location: Central to the Gare Du Nord train station, several bus routes including L'Open Tour buses. Restaurants and stores everywhere.
The New Hotel is perfect for those people arriving at Gare Du Nord by the EuroStar. It is a modern, clean hotel yet still very Parisian in style. Don't expect US style hotels when you come to Europe, instead enjoy the differences and the fact that the staircases are beautiful if a little steep for some (all my kids managed including one with motor skills impairment), the elevator takes 4 people but is fully functional, and the fact that the rooms can take five people in one room unlike any American hotel that isn't giving you a suite price. myself and my four children stayed in one room for a very reasonable nightly rate. the bathroom is small but perfect - the shower area is the best i've had across three continents. overall it was clean, it was quiet, and yet central to all we needed to do. the best thing was the breakfast - not included in the room price but not expensive - if you want to taste real croissants, this is the place. the coffee was fantastic, there is a full breakfast suiting all tastes (I brought my own gluten-free bread and cereal) and the breakfast room itself is a little dungeon with a suit of armor in the corner. magnificent! the staff are fully capable of conversing in English and were friendly and helpful. i would recommend this hotel to anyone.

Good hotel

The late night staff was not very welcoming and a bit rude. The location is in a very commercial area of Paris.
