Great apartments in Paris
Posted Aug 15, 2016
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Résidence NELL this summer.
The reception staff were friendly and efficient and made us feel welcome.
The apartment was clean and airy and although not spacious, was more than adequate for the three of us.
It was great to be able to buy fresh croissants and & pain au chocolat from the local Boulangerie just around the corner.
There are a number of local cafes and restaurants and many different cuisines are available, although don't be surprised if many of the restaurants are closed for August holidays.
The hotel is well located for four metro lines.
7 - Le Peletier
8 & 9 - Grands Boulevards (Rue Montmartre)
12 - Notre-Dame-de-Lorette
We would recommend getting a Navigo Découverte if staying in Paris for more than a few days, it cost us 27 Euros for a week travel in Zones 1 to 5, which includes the Chateau de Versailles, Disneyland & Charles de Galle airport.
(The Paris Visite Pass was much more expensive).
Be aware that on the metro you need to push through the turnstiles unlike on the Tube where the gates open for you after you've "touched in".
