Fabulous location but expensive for what you get

Posted Aug 24, 2015
Pros: Location
Cons: Musty smell. Mixed service
Location: Walking distance to many major attractions.
We renting a duplex room which had a loft. The first room we were given was roomy but had very limited natural light and didn't make good use of the space. The room we ended up with had much more light but had a musty smell. However, it gave us room for my wife and I and are college-aged daughter. You can't beat the location across from the Tuileries, just down the street from the Louvres and L'Orangerie. Service was mixed. We told staff about a burned out light that was not replaced and when we asked for help from the concierge, we were told she was busy for the next two hours. You are paying for location and relatively large rooms.

Pros: This hotel is centrally located, but there needs to be some major changes at the front desk. Just about everyone checking in was having issues.
Cons: Retrain your front desk staff. Give your customers the appropriate rooms that they booked. Give a REAL drink ticket for waiting.
The front check-in service needs a major overhaul. We were not the only guests with check-in problems. We arrived around 11:30am was told that they would make getting our room ready a priority and would send a text message when it was ready. We arrived back at the hotel around 5:00pm and our room was not ready. The front desk clerk called someone and made a comment about a "complication" with our room. When our room was not ready at 5:00pm, a front desk clerk (male) offered us a drink ticket for the bar until they got the room ready. We were expecting a drink not "water". Really!!!! Even though I had asked for a room on a higher floor, we were given a room on the first floor off the terrace. In the morning all the smoke from the smokers came into our room and this area gets very noisy. The manager of the front desk got involved and showed us a duplex room on a higher floor that was vacant but I didn't like it and told him we wanted to keep the junior suite on a higher floor. He stated that someone was checking out the next day and they would move our belongings into the room while we were out. He assured me he would take care of the issue and there would be no problems. He also told me that they did not have the capability to send text messages (again REALLY). The next day when we came back we found our belongings in the duplex that I told him I did not want. WHAT TYPE OF SERVICE IS THIS!!!!

Great location

Posted Aug 19, 2015
Pros: Staff and hotel service
Cons: Room temperature hard to adjust, but climate is good.
Location: Very central, near louvre (5 mins). If you like walking, main tourist points within 40min walks (Eiffel tower, arc of triomphe, Norte Dame Cathedral).
Excellent hotel near by many main tourist sites (ex. louvre 5 minute walk). Beautiful hotel, nice areas to eat or just enjoy a cup of coffee. Staff is very helpful and friendly. Our stay was great, no complains. Would highly recommend it if its your first time visiting Paris. Metro station right in front of hotel. Can arrive from Airport CDG by train and metro in about 30-40min.

Superb Location Superb Hotel

Posted Aug 14, 2015
Although the room wasn't ready when we checked in (bang on 3pm), the staff were polite and helpful and organised our bags. I also fed back about the lighting in the hotel, and before I'd returned another lamp had been put in our room. I had a duplex suite for my two teenage daughters and me and we found the room very spacious and plenty of privacy. The bed linen was top quality and the beds were very comfortable. I hadn't been given inclusive breakfast rates but because the location was so central we stayed out late- so slept a bit later and ate in the many bistros that were about. We shopped at the supermarket nearby and made up picnics to have by the Seine- only a short walk away The pool was lovely and easy to use I would definitely go back to this hotel

Great standard and location

Posted Aug 10, 2015
We loved our stay here last week. Super location next to the Tuillerie Gardens. Within easy walking distance of the Louvre, Champs Ellyses and a mile from Notre Dame. Great to have a swimming pool in the hotel and for several visits we were the only ones in the pool- though we had to leave as for one trip 6 people in the pool was too many. Surprised we had to notify the reception desk 3 times before our air con was fixed.
