Nice and comfortable

Posted Aug 8, 2015
It was a nice stay and the hotel is clean, quite and comfortable with just few steps from the Concorde square and 5-7 min walking to Champs-Élysées and 10 min waking to louvre museum although we requested through Expedia to have connected rooms but when we arrived the staff said they can't as the hotel was fully booked! It was very difficult to stay with kids in rooms away from each other! We talked to them and finally they found 2 rooms Interconnected. overall everything was great

really nice hotel, great Location

Posted Aug 7, 2015
The hotel was in an excellent location. The deluxe rooms were small but very chicly decorated. In a quiet side street next to US embassy and opposite the every day kicking Buddha bar and behind a street of designer shops.. Burberry, Brioni, Prada etc. It was in walking proximity to all the major sights. Tomas the concierge was fantastic and very helpful and resourceful. Take note: Taxi's taken at night start the meter at 12:40 euros... a total ripoff

Central location doesn't make up for bad service

Posted Jul 26, 2015
Pros: Central location
Cons: Customer service
Location: It's pretty close to a police station, which you'll need to go to if your money is stolen from your room.
Don't bother staying here. When I got to this hotel, I had $105 folded up inside of my passport. My passport was in a pocket inside of my backpack. My backpack was in my room. A couple of days later, the $105 was missing. I didn't lose it, move it, or touch it. I don't believe in ghosts or unexplained mysteries, so the only logical explanation is that someone working at the hotel went into my bag and took the money. When I complained to guest services, their only solution was for me to go to the police station and file a deposition. Because "they can carry out an investigation and maybe we can find out what happened." Look. This is what happened. Someone who had access to my room went looking for cash and found it. It's not that hard to figure out. Unfortunately, this hotel does not understand the value of good customer service. I asked if they could credit me for the money that was stolen during my time there, and they repeatedly refused. "There's no proof." I agree that there is no proof but that's hardly the point. Besides, if I was going to try to con the hotel it'd be for more than $105. I spent over $3,000 at the Sofitel while I was there. The stolen money was a tiny amount of what I spent. It would have been a smart gesture and one that would have kept me - a frequent business traveller - as someone who would come back and continue to be a customer of theirs. Now I won't, ever again. And I'll tell everyone I know the same thing.

Comfortable hotel in a great location

Posted Jul 8, 2015
Pros: Location , concierge, room comfort
Cons: Better late night room service, better food in general and lower prices. Ridiculous to charge 22 euros for a small bowl of penne and tomato sauce.
Location: Near concorde. Attractions nearby are the Louvre, Champs Elysees, Seine river,
Sofitel brand is good in general and this hotel lives up to that. The location is great - steps away from the beautiful Concorde Plaza and right next to the American Embassy. It's a 5 minute walk to Madeline, Champs Elysees, the Seine and a 10 minute walk to the Louvre. The closest metro stations are Concorde(M12 is currently closed at this station) and Madeliene. The facilities are good - clean, comfortable rooms and attentive, friendly staff. Some rooms are street facing(we were in one of them) and there will be some noise, although it is not horrible. The worst was the dump truck at 6:30 in the morning right outside our room. Other than that everything was great. Bed was very comfortable, bathroom was great, they even had an adaptor in the room for us. Free water too. The one thing that we did not like was that once we had a maid come in and service our room even though the Do not disturb sign was hanging on the door. That only happened once though so may have been a mistake. The bad part(as with everything else in Paris) - the prices were atrocious. We ordered room service once - penne with tomato sauce - that was 20 something euros. And it wasn't even cooked properly. The highlight was the concierge - they gave us good recommendations for restaurants and made reservations for us. For the most part their choices were good.

Perfect Hotel for a Wonderful Stay in Paris

Posted Jul 7, 2015
Pros: everything
Cons: nothing
Location: see above
The location is the first thing you notice of this hotel. It's smack dab in the middle of the most lux section of Paris with accessibility to anything that matters. Our entire stay we took the Paris underground to everything which was less than 1/2 block away. The concierge desk can get one tickets to most anything and does not mark up the tickets. The staff is friendly, helpful and incredibly accommodating. The rooms immaculate and beautifully decorated. The American Embassy is next door - -as are a # of great restaurants and shops (eg. Hermes/Cartier etc.). We travelled with small children and we found the one room we had with king bed/sofa bed to be perfect. A lot of attention to detail has been made at this hotel -- we would unquestionably go back again.

The room is too small and uncomfortable

Very tight security nearby the hotel makes your stay inconvenient, and hotel room is too small and uncomfortable! However, front desk staff were very helpful !
