Lovely HotelPosted Sep 9, 2015
Pros: Nice and clean, in a good area with lots of nearby café's and restaurants helpful polite staff.
Location: Please see above
This is a lovely, old fashioned hotel with character. The room was spotless clean and the staff were very friendly and helpful, even finding us a kettle to make tea with!

Great if you want a peaceful nights sleepPosted Sep 9, 2015
Pros: The peace and quiet and location
Cons: Decor looking a little tired. Room safe didn't work but staff managed to fix it.
Location: Plenty of bars, bistros, churches, museums. Canal St Martin interesting with La Marine bistro excellent.
Situated in a quiet street off the main road where there are plenty of bars and bistros. Hotel is quiet as it is built around a central courtyard. Beds comfortable and air con worked fine. In a very good area for all the attractions of La Marais. Near Picasso and Carnavalet museums and two metro stops. Breakfast was plentiful and relaxed but not included in our price. Shuttle service back to airport for €18 very good value and they will arrange a cab to collect guests from airport but this is more expensive at €70. The reception staff were helpful.

Bellissimo hotel situato in ottima posizionePosted Sep 2, 2015
Pros: tutto dal personale, alla camera, ai servizi
Location: Hotel situato nel meraviglioso quartiere di Marais, a due passi da Place de Vosges e da Place de la Bastille. Metropolitana a 200 m. Ottima posizione
Amo Parigi e mi reco spesso in questa meravigliosa città, ma questa volta il soggiorno è stato ancora più piacevole perchè ero accompagnata da mio figlio

Paris hotel in close to MetroPosted Aug 31, 2015
Cons: passage lights, and breakfast pricing
Location: not much . we had only three things to cover.. river cruise, Eiffel tower, Louvre and Disney land and neither was close enough, metro was walkable
Don't go by the pictures you see in the website, its a old building probably converted to a hotel, breakfast is expensive, did not try it Its more like a lodge than a hotel, if you are planning only to stay here and not worry about the frills then fine, close by to louvre, but you may still need to take a taxi or Metro family rooms are fine, I slept on the sofa bed for 4 nights - no complains , internet works , staff is very helpful and pleasing The passage does not have lights switched on, which is ok - given the need to conserve electricity, but it neither does have a motion sensor, the switches placed along the wall look like room door bells, so unless you are told you may have to walk in darkness to your room

Very well located quiet hotel.Posted Aug 13, 2015
Very helpful staff. Room was nice with very big bed and air con. The en suite was a little dated but had bath and shower and plenty of hot water. Breakfast not included but lots of cafes within 5 minute walk. Very good location handy for everything and felt very safe- mother and daughter holiday.

Great for exploring the East of the CityPosted Jul 12, 2015
Pros: Hand-painted furniture and layout made it all feel very individual instead of the usual "hang clothes on the left, bathroom on the right" box.
Cons: Tea and coffee basics in the room please! with milk for us brits...
Location: Near Place de la Republique, Picasso Museum, Notre Dame etc as I've said. close to two subway stations and it's walkable to Pere Lachaise cemetery.
We were targetting a comfortable hotel close to Notre Dame, Victor Hugo's house and the Picasso museum and for these purposes Villa Beaumarchais is perfectly located. You could spend a week here and still have loads left to see within a 30 minute walking radius. We were upgraded when we arrived and the room was very good, spacious, well decorated and with separate shower and jacuzzi bath. The bathroom colour scheme wouldn't be my choice, but it was quirky, not wrong. In fact a lot about this hotel is unconventional, which just adds to the charm. If we had wanted a Novotel (and sometimes we do...) we would have booked there! The staff were multi-lingual, knowledgeable, helpful and welcoming and despite it clearly being an unusual request (apparently) they were happy to bring a pot of tea to the room after we came back from an evening out. Facilities are marked down because of the lack of tea making facilities in the room and note that Paris seems to have its own star rating system, so some 4* expectations won't be met, but for the cost I rate this as an excellent choice. No lunch or evening meals on site, but in this part of Paris that really isn't a problem. Within 200 metres there must be fifty restaurants with all sorts of cuisine available.
