It's SoHo & Greenwich Village in Paris!

Posted Oct 4, 2016
If you want to experience Soho in Paris, this is a good place. It 's very Busy neighborhood, people won't sleep until 4 AM. You can find a bar and nightclubs around the corner .The room is OK the service is great ! That's no elevator you have to carry your luggage 4 or 5 story up. No AC in room if you want to check-in in the summertime ,avoid it . Over all is good for the price to stay overnight . I will come back again for the price .

Rude staff

Posted Sep 29, 2016
We have hotel paid for 12 days, but we desired to go to Barcelona for 4 days so we let them know at the desk, i told them just clean the room today and don't have to clean until we came back, we left most of our belongings there, we locked windows since they didn't have window screens. When we came back, windows were wide open, beds weren't made, so I complained about it, the man at the desk apologized, but the next day, our room wasn't clean again, I complained again the young man at the desk was very rude he said, one day you want the room cleaned and the next one you don't, so I preferred not to have it cleaned at all. Our room was cleaned twice during our staying.

Hello, I apologize agin for the windows open. I do not understand why your rooms was not cleaned. surely there was a misunderstanding as we have two permanent maids. We have no interest to not clean a room as we have the staff for it. Hope to see you girl back to offer you a night.

Don't be fooled by photos

Posted Sep 16, 2016
The photo's are nothing like the real thing, it's based in a side street off what seemed like the new hipster area of Paris, very lively and full of life, but after 4 hours travelling we turned up to broken floor tiles sharp enough cut feet, stains all over the walls and broken lamp shades. The shower was a nightmare and the handle gets hot enough to burn after 2 mins of use, so trying the wash became very difficult. Our tea and coffee making facilities consisted of a kettle and sink. Thats it. However, the staff are great and very helpful when needed.

Get what you pay for

Price was very good but think photos used are in need of updating! Lots of broken things in our room including us having to prop bed leg up with books and bathroom light not working. Street below noisy but is a lively place. Staff were nice though and location good.

Less than expected

Not so nice part of the city. Musty towels. Little toilet paper to begin with. I don't recommend this to Americans. Hotel is not represented by outside photos.

Hi, We just took over the hotel. We change all towels and start to renovate each room for better convenience. Oberkampf is a lively part of Paris full of bars and restaurants very appreciated

Small hotel with NO ELEVATOR

Posted Mar 27, 2016
We arrived and were surprised to find that there was no locked room to store luggage, instead it was just leave your stuff in the lounge area and the receptionist is supposed to watch it. We arrived a little before check in time so we had to wait. Then another couple arrived after us and she let them check in. When she allowed us to check in, we were shocked to learn there was no elevator. We were on the 6th floor and had 4 huge suitcases to carry up with us. When leaving, I asked the receptionist to call us a cab and she refused. She wouldn't even give directions to taxi wait area. Thankfully, a worker in a sandwich shop on the road over gave us some great directions.

Sadly a misleading description...

Posted Nov 29, 2015
Pros: The location, the foyer and waiting rooms, the wallpaper in the bedroom, the desk staff.
Cons: The beds were too hard and the pillows MUST be changed as they are terribly lumpy and seemed very old. More towels - there was one each.
Location: really convenient for Oberkampf restaurants and local bars and St Maur and Belleville market etc. Great location.
Despite very welcoming desk staff at all times, the room was very disappointing. There was no closet to hang anything and as it was advertised as a 'family room' I was surprised at the lack of wardrobe or closet ? They had said 'tea and coffee ' in the room and free wifi ', the wifi was terrible.. took ages to connect and I gave up most times- and there was no tea ior coffee- in fact i had to search for a kettle which i found under the sink ? I went down to reception to ask for a cup ! There were no spoons or saucers. It was very disappointing and it was advertised as half price or a discount room - i would have been furious if we had paid a full price. The desk staff were all first class and the foyer and other waiting rooms in the foyer are really nice but all in all with a room that was way too hot and beds so hard we couldn't get a good nights sleep with terrible lumpy pillows.. all of them... this hotel leaves a lot to be desired. The location was really good but I wouldn't stay there again (we could also hear other people tramping up an down the stairs as we were on the first floor right on the stairwell.)
