I was in and out on a business trip and did not have much interaction with the amenities that were offered but had a clean room and good meals.

Fabulous resort right at the lifts!

Posted Jan 12, 2016
Pros: see above
Cons: the restaurants in the area weren't worth my money because I eat all organic food. Food on the mountain was great but I didn't know until last day.
Location: Nice to walk around the resort area but it would be more fun if the food options were better. High prices for non organic isn't for me.
I loved the pool, jacuzzi, sauna, fitness room. All were really nice! Having the kitchenette was a nice bonus - I didn't even know I would have that until I got there. The lobby was beautiful and spacious with various spaces to sit, relax and enjoy. It was unreal to be back in my room 15 minutes after the lifts closed!

The appearance of luxury close to the slopes

Posted Jan 5, 2016
Pros: Location, the illusion of luxury
Cons: Staff manners, restaurant courtesy, reign in the resort fee. Not all of us want full use of the pool, weight room, and spa
Location: Great location to the lifts in the Canyons Village at Park City Resort.
I'd like to start with saying I've stayed here once before and had a great experience, however it was as part of a large medical conference and the group as a whole was well taken care of. I found a great rate through Expedia and booked the week of New Year hoping to replicate my prior experience. While the hotel itself and the location to the ski lifts are very nice, I more often found the staff to be less helpful and more put out with our requests. The room was missing the three ring binder with all the restaurant listings and the room service menu and the coffee maker was also absent. There was only one towel for two people and twice the maid essentially knocked on our door repeatedly so we would leave. We ordered room service twice with one time being great and the other a struggle to even place an order. The food was pretty good overall. I was aware that I would be charged a resort fee but feel that it really doesn't get you anything and we certainly never received a daily paper and parked our own car as it was much easier than waiting on the valets. Having also stayed at the Sundial I remain partial to that facility over the Grand Summit even though there are more service options here. We called the Red Tail Grill (the on-site restaurant) to inquire about reservations and the person who answered the phone very rudely told us that unless we have 6 people we could forget about reservations and hung up. Needless to say we did not eat there. Overall disappointing

Great location but don't order room service

Posted Jan 4, 2016
It's so close to the lifts, you almost can't pass it up. But, we ordered breakfast everyday and dinner twice in the room. Every single time they forgot at least one item we ordered and we had to call again. Also, the house keeping is horrible. The sheets were made up like a child did them. I would not call this a 4 star hotel... 3 star maybe.

Should have had breakfast with per night price.

Posted Jan 3, 2016
Expedia did not confirm with the resort the breakfast was included and they would not allow without contacting Expedia. It was late and no one to contact. Only one breakfast restaurant. Not enough food opportunities.

Housekeeping

Posted Dec 30, 2015
Pros: location is perfect
Cons: service, and its def not a 4 star hotel, you are just paying for location.
Location: location couldnt be better for the slopes
My room was not cleaned twice in the five days of my staying there. Its quite disappointing to get to your room tired after a long day at the slopes and find your bed undone and the breakfast tray still sitting on your table. Also two mysterious charges where made to my credit card that they still cant explain and they are trying to solve.

Perfect location, comfortable lounge areas but...

Very good ski in/out service. Reasonable restaurant. Room cleanliness could be better for a week stay, they basically changed towels and cleaned trash only. No floor/carpete cleaning nor change of linen. Quite unacceptable for over 6 nights.

Comfy and modern

Posted Dec 11, 2015
Although the room wasn't huge, it was definitely comfortable. Amenities like a jetted tub and multiple outlets with USB slots on the nightstand made it just perfect!
