2:30 wake up call

Posted Sep 12, 2016
Woke up at 2:30 to people in the hall because they couldn't get their room open. Tried for about a half hour. Then another wake up call at 8 when another person came to open it. Won't be going back.

Nice hotel

Posted Aug 26, 2016
Newpark is nice but I think it was expensive for what we got. We had the most basic room they offer and for being a newer hotel it had a lot of little things wrong with it. Our son's room air conditioner didn't work well. The rooms had a tiny window that looked into another window. The room felt closed in and really dark. We never felt really comfortable there and the bed was not good on our backs.

I am sorry that your experience wasn't ideal. I seems very much as if our larger, more spacious suites or townhomes may have offered something that you were expecting. I will report the issues with the AC as that isn't very comfortable this time of year. Regards, Chris Eggleton, General Manager

Super room

Posted Aug 15, 2016
Our room was well designed and appointed. The fireplace provided a nice touch, not to mention the refrigerator, kitchenette with utensils, and the roomy tub and shower. The place is also nested in a community of services - groceries, coffee shops, restaurants, etc. highly recommended for off-season travelers.

Dear Steve, Thanks for the remarks. I know that guests will appreciate the details. Curious, why is the recommendation limited to off-season? Enjoy the Journey, Chris Eggleton, General Manager

Nice room for $200 a night however the wifi barely worked in the room we stayed in and one night the balcony door wouldn't latch leaving us sleeping with the door openedall night!!

Sorry about the door. I will report to the Facilities team; but I know our commercial all-glass, sound proof doors/windows do have a trick to lock them tight. And we put a sticker on every door to try to explain this trick. Anyways, thanks for the comments. Enjoy the Journey, Chris Eggleton, General Manager

Nice hotel and close to some good restaurants

Posted Aug 8, 2016
Great experience as usual. I have stayed here 3 years in a row and all 3 visits have been good ones. The rooms are clean. The staff is friendly and helpful. The hotel is easily accessible close to restaurants and has plenty of parking.

Almost...

Posted Aug 5, 2016
Pros: Beautifully appointed and decorated.
Cons: Interior rooms with no view to the outside.
The Newpark is a beautiful hotel in a great location in Park City. Parking is a snap and convenient to the lobby. However, you should to be aware that there are interior rooms. Meaning, the window looks out to a light column and into other rooms with the same orientation. I was disappointed to find myself in one of these rooms. They are a lock off from the 2 bedroom option. As a second bedroom it makes sense. However, as a single unit it is more than disappointing. It's like staying in a very nice closet. The room itself is great with a fireplace, small kitchenette, sofa and a very large bathroom. The decor is nice, mountain contemporary. I was really looking forward to my stay there until I opened the blinds on the small window only to find it looked into a light column and straight at other rooms about 15 feet away. There is no view outside of the hotel. I stayed in unit 415B. This was not a make or break proposition since I was there on business. However, this would be completely unacceptable if I was in this room for vacation.

Thanks for the remarks. We would agree that the Standard Room is most often more than sufficient for business - and as a leading Park City Conference Hotel, this makes sense. Our Suites and Townhomes are almost always recommended for vacations and larger parties. I suppose that is one our our key attributes - we can meet so many needs. Come back for the vacation and I will ensure you get into a Suite or larger! Enjoy the Journey, Chris Eggleton, General Manager

BEAUTIFUL

Posted Aug 2, 2016
Pros: Perfect atmosphere for anyone wanting a good night sleep, great location, very clean, great staff, and love the taffy at the front desk!
Cons: Coffee in the lobby
Location: Beautifully designed and mindful of location. It's perfectly situated between relaxation and offers options for a myriad of activities.
This weary business traveler was delighted upon the moment I pulled into the parking spot, located very close to the hotel. From that point forward, the experience was 1000000% perfect.
