Beautiful Lodge and beautiful scenery

Posted Jun 1, 2017
We stayed at this lodge and now going back next week. The staff was very helpful and accommodating; especially Ion who worked at the front desk. He was particularly helpful and so polite. Can't wait to go back and soak in the heated pool.

If you don't need 5 star then why stay anywhere el

Posted Apr 16, 2017
Pros: location: a few steps from bars/restaurants/ski rentals and of course the base lift.
It's all about location. The lodge is literally right at the base of the mountain so you can easily ski in/out during your stay. There are tons of ski equipment/rentals place within a few walking feet as well as a few restaurants and bars. Everything is just really convenient. Shuttle bus to town, deer valley, canyons etc....is also just a few feet away so there isn't a need to rent a car. Few minute walk to a local grocery store as well. My son loved the pool/hot tub. This isn't a 5 star resort but is perfect if you are cool w/ simple accommodations for the benefit of a great location at a great price.

Mixed review

Posted Apr 5, 2017
I called the hotel at 5am before my flight to ask if I could check in early; they told me yes. I show up around 11:30 am and they tell me that the room is being cleaned. Manager says sorry you need to come back at 4pm for check in, maybe 3pm, that they will call me. I'm already upset by then because I was misinformed and lacked sleep and wanted to rest. Let alone me wasting my time driving an hour to get there from the airport. I had to leave and sleep in the car, at the park. I go back at 3:30 pm and check in as if nothing happened. I go to the room and rest. At 5pm when I got snowboard (rented it elsewhere), I come to find that the slopes close at 4pm. So there goes my chance to snowboard and my money wasted on the rental since I rented for that one day only. I go to guest services and a very nice girl apologized for my situation and gave me another room where I could stay a bit longer after after check out time at no additional cost to be able to snowboard the next morning. If it wasn't for her, I would have rated this hotel a 1. Too bad I didn't get her name.

Walk right out to the slopes

Posted Mar 26, 2017
Pros: close to slopes and food
Cons: bed and shower, evening staffing level
This hotel is a very short walk from the slopes, and there are several basic little restaurants and shops in the surrounding plaza, so you don't have to go into town for everything! When we arrived (around 5:30pm), there was only a sign at the front desk saying they had to step away and someone would be back soon, and I waited for QUITE a while before anyone appeared! Checkout was fast though. The building is definitely on the older side, but almost everything in our room appeared to be updated or renovated except the shower. Everything was in great condition and the room had nice rustic but modern décor, and plenty of counter space in the vanity area. A free shuttle into downtown is available, and we loved that the hotel parking is a covered garage.

Nice close to the ski lifts

Posted Mar 16, 2017
Pros: Close to the ski lifts
Cons: Room needs to be updated badly.
Room had food on the floor when we checked in, standing water on the balcony, 3' x 3' picture hung by two small nails in the drywall fell on my toe, the rooms TV was literally 15", room was very small. The ski season was almost over and they still picked spring break to start re-painting the hallways?!?!? Got paint on my snowboard bag, strong odor of paint in the hotel.

Thank you for taking the time and letting us know about your most recent stay at the Lodge at the Mountain Village. I will make sure to pass on your comments to the appropriate departments. As for the painting I will inform the HOA as this is not done by the property managment company. Thanks again,

Location is the only plus

Posted Mar 16, 2017
Room was very outdated, not cleaned properly, very large picture not hung properly and fell on my foot, balcony had two inches of standing water the entire stay, they were painting the hallways, not sure why they could not wait one more month for the season to be over and not paint during spring break!?!?! Asked for adjoining rooms did not get it even though the room next to mine was not used until the second to last day of my stay.

Excellent price for ski-in ski-out.

Posted Mar 12, 2017
Pros: Location, price.
Cons: Update the 35 year old rooms.
Location: Right on the slopes, ski-in, ski-out. Very convenient. However, the only thing to do was ski. There is absolutely no night life.
The location is fantastic, the price is excellent, but the facilities are old (1980's). Given the rate, I would easily stay again when taking my family to the slopes. However, if you're looking for night life and luxury, choose another resort. It was *DEAD* in PC after 6 o'clock.

Good location but very tired

Posted Mar 10, 2017
Pros: Location
Cons: Standard of the room - make it feel like a four star room rather than a youth hostel
Very good ski-in and ski-out location but the room was very tired and really needs updating. The bedding was on its last legs and I do not know hw this accomodation is rated as four star It is only just three star The Mountain Village is in a great position for the ski slopes and easy access to Park City Main Street via the convenient free bus service The staff were generally very helpful and pleasant Because of the quality of the room in its present state I would not be able to recommend the Lodge to family or friends

Great location. Room needs upgrades.

Posted Mar 9, 2017
Pros: Loved the location to the Park City Mountain Village ski slopes. Liked that it has kitchenettes.
Cons: Carpet, couches, sinks, faucets, fix closet door, new decor in the room.
Location: Easy access to public bus transportation into Park City. Great restaurants and fun shopping in Park City.
We had stayed at the Lodge about 12 years ago and remembered how we loved the location. Great proximity to ski chairlifts and slopes at Park City Mountain Ski Resort. This room was very similar with location, and perfect to be on the first floor near the exit to ski slopes. The room seemed clean, but the furnishings and finishes of our room need to be updated. There was a good-size stain in the carpet; couch was old, and the pictures on walls and extra decor were old. Looked like newer appliances and countertops, and maybe even new floor tile in the bathroom, but the bathroom faucet was old and hard to operate. The closet door in the main room was metal bifold and was stuck in the open position. We had little interaction with the staff, but they seemed friendly and were offering fresh baked cookies each afternoon when we would walk by.

Goegous 2 story Mountain Village condo!

Posted Mar 8, 2017
Fabulous stay in the Mountain village celebrating birthdays in Park City. Many thanks to Ericka at the front desk who treated us truly amazing! Our two story condo was truly spectacular and both sons loved their man cave upstairs! The free shuttle to town was an added bonus.
