The right place to be on your ski vacation!

Pros: ski valet was my favorite service! they would store your equipment,bring it up to the gondola and bring it back to the hotel when you're done.
Location: the canyons has lots of dinning options as well as a sit down kosher restaurant .
a Short 45 min drive from SLC, and you are there. we stayed in a 1 bdr luxury villa, with kids. loved the location of the hotel right by the gondolas. fully equipped, beautiful views. indoor/outdoor heated pool with kids activities, arcade games room, spa, awesome yoga classes especially apres ski , adult pool with jaccuzi and sauna, free shuttles to take you anywhere, and a very good kids ski school

NO HEAT IN 2ND SLEEPING AREA

Cons: Heat in all rooms where people sleep!
We booked a kingsize bed with a kitchenette and sleeper sofa that advertised to sleep 2 additional people. What was not advertised is that there is only heat in the bedroom and no heat in the additional living area. The ambient temperature was below 60 degrees- far from acceptable living situations! And they advertise Westgate to be a fine resort! Even Eskimo's would find it too cold! When we called down to inquire- numerous staff said “yes, they were aware of that, it was a design flaw”. We were beyond disappointed in the accommodations and misrepresentation of the unit we rented. It was not an acceptable place for more than 2 people. I will never stay there again, and will tell everyone I know about how awful it was in the winter.

we have stayed at this hotel twice. the first time we stayed, when we got to our room- it was under construction... so we had to switch rooms. we decided to give it another shot- we get to our room and the light is flickering like crazy... so they switched our room, and the next room we got to, the light didn't even work. we sucked it up at that point and just went to bed. so annoying.

Nice Place, Do Not Book (Check out 10 AM!)

Let me first be fair by saying the room was super nice, as were the facilities. Here is why I will not stay here again. First open checking in we were informed that check out was at 10 am. Now I can understand if your are staying in military housing this being a reasonable hour of departure, but when you are having a night away from the kids with the wife this was strait up absurd. They did mention I could get a later check out, but when I asked the next morning they mentioned that 10:30 was the best they could do. Did I mention this place is huge and when we stayed there it the slowest time of year for Park City? I can honestly say they just wanted us out. Upon checking in we were directed to the time-share office to get our free gift, which turned out to be a sales pitch that we politely declined. There are a ton of great places in Park City for the same price. Do yourself a favor and save the frustration and the early wake up and stay somewhere else.

Great in the off season.

Pros: I liked the hotel and the staff.
Cons: Parking near entrances could be improved. It was a sort of maize to find your room.
Location: It's a ski resort area, so all things outdoors are available.
Really enjoyed the hotel and the amenities, especially the adult relaxation pool with waterfall, hot tub, sauna and steam room. Nice feature of the room bath was a steam shower. SOOOO relaxing. The village was quiet even on Halloween.

The hotel needed some updating. The water handle in the shower did not work well kept getting stuck. The hot tub did not have hot water.

Nice, but could be great

My wife and I stayed a long weekend to get away. This property is a time-share, so let that guide some of your expectations. That said, this property could be fantastic. We stayed in a 1 bedroom suite. The room was decorated nicely and it felt comfy. A few complaints: the jetted tub is very shallow, if you sit in the tub with the water as high as it can go, the top of your legs need to stay completely flat in order to stay under water. The beds are not very comfortable. I would expect nicer beds for the price ranger per night. Many of the furnishings are pretty worn. I've stayed at other hotels in this price range and this property is slightly below par. If you want a decent room, this is a good choice. If you are looking for a 4-5 star experience, I would look elsewhere.
