The office staff were all very professional and friendly. My visit was due to flooding of my home from the Ohio river. I wasn’t informed until the evening of 4-3 that I needed to evacuate now, as the River was over the bank and would continue flooding the area. I haven’t driven at night time in 6-7 years, so the drive over to the hotel was extremely stressful for me. The hotel allowed my late arrival. One thing I really appreciated, was the way they spaced the hotel guests. We weren’t on top of each other. I was able to park in front of my room which was great. The room was quiet. Only negative : The room—especially the carpeting, needs a really deep cleaning. On the positive side: I booked from Wednesday evening thru Saturday. After finding out the water was receding a day earlier than expected I checked out on Friday morning to get back home to see the damage. I had paid up front and the young lady wasn’t sure if I could get a refund for the day and a half I wouldn’t be there. After waiting less than a week, I was happy that the manager gave me a credit. I will stay at this Travel Lodge in Parkersburg, WV again, as I felt safe, the bed was comfortable, and it was quiet.

Was lying in bed attempted to get some sleep when I started feeling biting coming what appeared to be bed bugs on the left forearm appeared to be 4 bite marks and welts then on the same side wrist area appeared 2 more. I do have photographs as Proof for this matter. I Am not a Happy Person.

NO BATH TOWELS ON PROPERTY
As large as this place is, very few guests. Paint colors outdated, holes in wall. But!!! Here is the kicker...NO BATH TOWELS. Went to front desk, told "running very low" wash them as get, will have me fresh ones. Arrived, floor mat and 2 hand towels. I was cracked!! BUY BATH TOWELS!!! Addicts need to stop stealing.

They charged a $20 pet fee for my dog. Entire hotel area was full of dog poop all over the sidewalks and parking lot. No proper place to walk your dog. No lighting in the very small grassy area. Definitely won't stay there again!!

All the room was dirty, the bed, blankets, air conditioning, blankets with bad odor, bathtub. The worst, I took pictures of bedbugs in room 109 and all dirty stuff, they move me to other room 416, and when i woke up, i woke up with my face, neck , arms with bugs bites, itching all over my body. My son leave an expensive shoes in the room, and shoes disappear. I went to the front desk and claim it, and the receptionist treat me very nasty. I don't have more way to rent another hotel at the time because was too late and i came from Florida ,driving14 hours, i stay for this 3 days but i spent in blankets, towels, etc. And i keep my belongings in my car, isn't a safe place.

The property is run down. Reserved for 5 didn't have rollaway for 5th person that's advertised on their site. Had to stay because there was no where else to stay. We called about being a late arrival they said it was fine then had to wait about 40 minutes because there was no one to check us in. Then the toilet didn't flush properly. The beds were very uncomfortable and the bedding was all stained.

Do not book here!!!
The room was so filthy that we chose not to stay. The carpets were extremely filthy, the curtains were falling off, walls needed painted because of marks and stains and then the bedding! There were cigarette holes in the bedspread and the sheets were stained and spotted.
Floors- you would not want to step on them in bare feet
Pillowcases-very disgusting
Walls- every one had dirt and marks on them

I would not recommend staying here, our room had no sheets on beds and the A/C was laying on one of the beds. I ended up staying elsewhere. I heard by locals they rent the rooms by the hours. Also while waiting to be checked in, they were charging cheaper than their rates and expedia rates.

The worst hotel i have ever got. Switched rooms twice. Both rooms had bugs, mosquitoes, stained sheets, smelled like smoke. I immediately went to a different hotel.

It’s nothing fancy. The room had a strange smell. But the bed was comfy. And a nice hot shower. For this price range, it’s a nice place.

The 1st room they put me in didn't have a working heater, tried to call the front desk, no answer...twice. 2nd room has hair in many places, tub was dirty, dead bug in the floor, pillow smelled, comforter had a burn hole, carpet was disgusting. Outside appearance were nice. Could be a cute place if they made the rooms match the outside appearance. Check in was quick and the young girl at the desk was friendly.

Local couple get away place
Even though we live right here in town, instead of a date night we take a mini vacay. And this hotel is so perfect for that. Its a nice place for the price and they are so respectful of our privacy.

This hotel needs to do some work on their rooms. Toilet wasn't attached to the floor, bathtub didn't look clean, mirrors were dirty, beds need to be replaced, fridge was lopsided & dirty. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone.

The motel was as expected for this price point, however, the carpet appears to be as old as the building and was stained from use. The towels felt like sandpaper (exaggeration - they were rough). Everything else was good.
