We wanted a hotel near motorway as an easy overnight stop. Unfortunately access to hotel from motorway was more complicated than it looked. Rooms OK, although one door could not be operated by keycard and the aircon could only be operated on/off by switch in fusebox. Dinner no more than OK, breakfast paltry. Generally average service in restaurant. On checkout, hotel's card payment system not functioning so we had to make a separate transfer later
Cute, modern hotel away from the city, but not too far that you can't run into town and have lunch, dinner, or take a tour. The breakfast is lovely and very tasty. The hotel is quiet and has a wonderful view of the countryside, farm animals to admire, and
Great hotel and very friendly staff. I would rate this hotel as one of the better hotels I have been to. Rooms were spacious and well laid out. Facilities described at the time if booking were very accurate and do meet or exceed the expectation. Only thing to note is the hotel is located next to Parma Airport, slightly away from City Center. Considering there is not much of a traffic problem in Parma, City Center is just a 10 minutes drive.
Such a beautiful hotel converted from an old barn! Very contemporary and modern hotel with spacious rooms. Friendly staff, easy parking and great breakfast.
Perfect stay
Staff are excellent and very happy to assist
Easy access to the city for walking ,
Restaurant is good a typically Italian and not a pizza in sight ,all cooked fresh to order ,
Limited for a bar, there isn't one !!
Wonderful hotel! We stayed as a family, with an 8 month old and the staff were more than accommodating. There was a wooden crib provided for free. The hotel was very clean and modern (even electronic windows in room). Hotel is right near the Parma airport (no airplanes took off or landed while we stayed - we didn’t hear any). The hotel restaurant was incredible (Parma tortellini specifically... with the 3 different types). Overall a great hotel, only downfall was that it states 2.5miles from city centre and it’s really not near anything to walk to - plan to drive to any destinations. Thank you to the staff at Hotel City Parma!
The hotel is situated in a old warehouse style building which is quite special. The only drawback is the accessibility to the hotel which you will need to drive in order to get there.

Don't do it
Not what I expected, Restaurant closed, room small, AC took 6 hrs to cool
Nice new hotel. Near the airport, but down an odd single lane road with overgrown grass and poor lighting at nighttime. But for a quick stopover, it was convenient and easy. Would recommend overall.
This modern hotel is about 2km from Parma city centre so it needs a car for access but it is very bright, clean and comfortable. The reception staff were very welcoming and the young lady on duty on our arrival spoke faultless English and gave us excellent tips on where to eat in the city. We would definitely stay here again if visiting Parma. Breakfast was very good. Great value for money.
The Hotel is excellent. The location is perfect for those arring from the highways. The food @ the hotel restaurant is excellent and I would suggest you to follow the indications of the owner. Try the Parmesan local food as it's fantastic. The wines too.
The hotel is beautiful, well equipped and quite.
Incredibly helpful staff, lovely clean rooms (all bedding was changed on a daily basis), excellent food.
We were a little worried as the hotel is right next to Parma airport, however it is not a busy airport and there was no disturbance at all.
You will need transport if you stay here, as the town is a good hour away by foot.
The hotel restaurant is not cheap, but is very good.
Overall a very nice place to stay.
Mainly for business travellers. We chose it as we had wanted to eat at Cocchi and stay outside Parma for the night before we drove in to explore the main town the next day. Affordable and functional.
I stayed here on a recent business trip during which I had to visit some companies in the surrounding areas. Location of this hotel is a bit out of the way and down a small lane in what looks like part of countryside. That being said, the rooms are nice and big and look like they're pretty new. Breakfast was included in our rate and it was a sufficient of good quality. Overall great value for money.
I wasn't expecting much from a place to stay while in transit, but this hotel surprised me. It is a new hotel surrounded by farmland, and abundant with animal life - many local farm cats and pongas (a new experience!). The hotel restaurant was fantastic and offered many great quality local dishes. A very pleasant stay, a great surprise!
Design is outstanding, built in an old farming/industry building. Just being there was fabulous, simple to get to historic center of Parma if you've got as car. Only negative was a low-grade mattress.

Beware...
We spent forever trying to find this hotel. We drove from Tuscany in rain so when we arrived in Parma we really were excited to get to the hotel. The address listed is apparently correct however we went in repeated circles trying to find it. When we finally arrived, we couldn't find anyone at reception and there was no one else at the hotel that we saw. We ended up walking down the corridors calling "hello" to see if anyone was there. After a little while the front desk attendant finally appeared. We mentioned the trouble in finding the hotel and he said that GPS doesn't give correct directions. The room was fine. The location is a bit awkward but doable if you have a car. Not a bad place but not a great experience.
