You would expect more from a Hilton. Staff at the hotel is scarce and don't seem to care much to go out of their way to actually do anything.

perfect for short relaxing getawayPosted Sep 1, 2015 on Hotels
Rooms are clean and comfortable. Service is good. It's very basic. The pool is kind of small and there should be a lifeguard watching, but for a weekend its worth the stay.

Nice looking, convention ruined itPosted Aug 4, 2015
Pros: The hotel seemed nice- clean and comfortable.
Cons: I think they lost control of this party that rented the reception rooms. They should not allow them to rent again- (this might be an annual event).
There was some sort of religious convention there and the guests were a bit out of control. Ice cream deserts dumped onto the carpet and against the walls in multiple places. This was for the last weekend of July 2015. I don't know if people using reception rooms were staying overnight or not, but they kind of ruined it for the rest of the guests. They were super loud and didn't try to control multiple out of control children.

My stayPosted Jul 29, 2015 on Hotels
The AC was broke in the main building. Made for a hot weekend. The rooms were air conditioned though.

Don't stay here for conventionsPosted Jul 26, 2015 on Hotels
I was there for the Vampire Diaries Convention that is held there yearly. I usually stay at the Hampton that is attached but this year I booked too late and had to stay at the Hilton. I was there for 4 days. This was the worst experience I've had in the 4 years I've been going to this event. Half the elevators were broken; on the floor I was on there was a huge water puddle (yes puddle) in the middle of the hallway that was never cleaned up and eventually created a musty smell throughout the floor; the AC was on the fritz in the convent center where there were hundreds of people standing in lines for photo ops sweating so bad hair, make-up and clothes were drenched; the service was atrocious with food coming to guests half cooked after waiting over an hour for it..... On top of that they were putting $50 a day holds on guests credit/debit cards (coming out to $200 for guests that were unfortunate enough to be there for the full 4 days) as an incidental fee that was not communicated to anyone. For many that was their money for the convention. I had to go clean out my checking account so they couldn't ruin my weekend with this. Some were not as lucky to catch it in time. These are just some of the issues. Normally I don't leave reviews but this was so bad I had to warn future guests

Hotel lovely except limited food choicePosted Jul 25, 2015 on Hotels
The hotel itself was lovely especially the room and the staff but the food on offer was a let down. The breakfast on offer was lovely but they told me on weekends they only offered the full buffet so you didn't have a choice. Also the cafe was only opened for breakfast but it would have been nice if it was opened at lunch for light snacks. Due to a convention being on they only offered an even more limited bar food menu. As it is a big hotel I would have thought their kitchen could have coped with the convention and offer a more varied menu. Also, for the four days, one of the two main lifts didn't work.
