Very nice place but SoCal layout in NJ

Staff were great except for those preparing breakfast who were testy when we asked for help locating things, maybe unhappy about working on Thanksgiving.
The breakfast itself was ok, I'm on an all protein diet so found the warmed over scrambled eggs and different cheap meats each day--my only options--to be pretty disappointing, however they had some pastries and self-made waffles which smelled great.
The dishes in the room kitchen were old and worn (had that rough surface that comes with too many cycles through the dishwasher) but clean. Room well tended otherwise and housekeeping staff very friendly. Front desk accommodated a last minute room change without trouble since the nature of the room wasn't clear from Expedia website.
The only significant criticism I have is that the building with the pool and jacuzzi, which is pretty nice, is separate from any guest rooms, so to use these you have to go outside (35-45 F during our stay) and walk about 150 feet. There are small changing rooms in the pool building which help some with this. In warmer months this wouldn't be a problem but someone in the Marriott architecture department wasn't thinking ahead on locating this layout in New Jersey.
I would recommend this hotel to families, overall I'd go back when I need to be in the area, preferably in the summer.
