“Well located hotel for golf at Silloth. The properties decor is a bit tired and in need of some maintenance. The days we stayed there was only one young member of staff on and she had to look after arrivals, bar work and serving of food. Naturally it was a very slow and frustrating evening for customers as she was run off her feet. How she kept a smiling face I do not know. The food was of a high quality and the service was very good except on one of our three evenings when we were forgotten about and it took at least three complaints to get our meal started. On this occasion we were in the restaurant for about two hours and it took 45 minutes before we got our starter. This was a shame because otherwise everything was perfect.”

“I was confused by the reviews on this hotel as they swung from terrible to fantastic. I found the place perfect for my stay, while doing the coast to coast walk. The staff were all friendly and helpful, the breakfast was good, the bar was good, I didn’t require an evening meal. The room was clean as were the facilities. “Truly enjoyed my stay. I wanted something with a little character and not a typical hotel. Honestly booked just thinking it was an older Inn and didn't realize until later it was a bed and breakfast. I thought the room was a pretty decent price so was Pleasantly suprised I got a made to order breakfast with my room. The Proprietor is top notch when you need anything and is always happy to help. If you're ok with an older place with some character then I would highly recommend this place.”
