Pros: Area
Cons: A bit of refreshing
It had been many years since we stayed here. It was nice, but a little tired. The furniture upholstery and pool cushions need to be refreshed. The area is beautiful.

Pros: Rooms were great!!
Location: Huntington Library and Botanical Gardens were beautiful.
Got in late and staff was great. Enjoyed the room size which had a pull out couch for our daughter. Breakfast on the patio by pool was awesome and food was great.

Great, Grand Hotel

Pros: Rooms are great and the service is superb
Cons: If you look very closely, you can notice some deferred maintenance in some of the common areas. I hope they address this in the near future.
Location: Great location if your in Pasadena or want to be close to downtown LA.
The Huntington is still a great hotel and a wonderful experience. The rooms and facilities are very nice and the service terrific. We have already booked to additional stays.

The grounds and facilities were beautiful, and our room was very comfortable—though arguably quite worn down. To be fair, we got a fantastic rate.

Impeccable hotel

I lived in Pasadena for seven years prior to this stay and have been to this hotel few times mainly to their restaurants. It's a beautiful ground and one of the best hotels in Pasadena/Losangles if you can afford it. Glad I was able to find a deal to stay for one night . Had a great suite perfect with kids . The room was excellent and spacious. One thing they missed was bedding& pillows for the kids for the sofa beds given that my reservation shows I had two kids. We called and they provided immediately. I would stay again.

Classic styled hotel - needs of cleaning & repair

Pros: Beautiful rooms, nice staff, gorgeous gardens.
Cons: In need of cleaning, repair and a key access overhaul
Location: Lot's of things to do around Pasadena
Gorgeous hotel, stayed in room 1411, Royce Manor building. Beautiful views, nice gardens, comfortable room and bed. But it needs a cleaning and repair crew:: -The water flow knob of the bathtub faucet was broken, so we couldn't have a hot bath; and the shower is small - The hotel carpeting was dirty throughout the walkways - The room carpet was dirty, somehow there was even a plastic cloth tag that I accidentally stepped into. - I locked myself into a minigarden. The door key only works for entrance to the upper level: So, you can enter from the upper level, go down the stairs inside the building, into the garden, and now you're locked out because the keycard won't open the ground floor door... They need to change this, locking out hotel guests isn't good. I very much hope hotel management can work with this, because I'd like to come back after this gets fixed.

Over rated

We arrived at 4:30pm, it took the front desk clerk awhile to find a room for us. The room was not ready, so we were given a drink voucher to wait at the bar. The room was in a the bottom floor and near a outside air conditioner. Very noisy.

Beautiful building needs renovation

Lovely setting, but rooms desperately need updating. From the plastic shower curtain to the furniture it appears to be at least 20 years old.

BeautifUL hotel near the Rose Bowl

The staff was great and the Sunday Brunch was fabulous. The gardens and the artwork are interesting. The entire property is very historical and beautiful.

This hotel is in a beautiful, out of the way neighborhood. The place is lovely. The staff is extremely accommodating.
