Great hotel and location.

Pros: We like the pools, cleanliness of the hotel, the staffs and the location.
Cons: For the price of the breakfast it could be a little better with more food option.
Location: The hotel itself is nice and quiet and near the beach. Once you get out to the main roads it is hustling and partying. The nightlife for all taste.
The staff was very nice and helpful. The hotel was clean fill with amenities. When we were there in September we had the entire swimming pools to ourselves. The food is catered for foreigner with the touch of Thai cuisine. But there are a lot of other restaurant near by. The location was great because it is near everything at the same time it is tucked away from the main roads for nice and relaxing atmosphere. We truly enjoy our time there. If we are ever in Phuket Patong area again would definitely stay at R Mar resort and spa again.

Good Hotel Situated In A Relatively Quiet Location

Pros: Relatively quiet - our room faced front of hotel with coconuts tree view. Also had a balcony - nice. Reception area impressive. Staff all friendly.
Cons: Room in need of refurbishment. wooden bed base jut out further than the mattress - I knocked my shin/legs against edge of wooden bed base - painful!
Location: Close to all the main street and restn etc. But need to go right round main road to get to Patong beach - approx. 10mins walk in V.Hot humid weather.
Overall experience - Good. Hotel located near the main road, in a relatively quiet Cul De Sac. Good Security manning main entrance 24/7. Staff friendly and helpful. Reception lobby area very impressive. Our room large and spacious. Air condition was excellent throughout. Room dated and could do with refurbishment. Our room had a balcony - useful feature. Has a Spa with good massage service - offering VFM massages. Did not use hotel restn service as plenty of restn close to the hotel.

Great value for money

A nice property that is good value for money. Staff very friendly , good size room with balcony, bathroom ok but shower is over bath and dimly lit. Property has nice gardens and a great pool. We will stay there again. Unfortunately the shortcut to the beach has been closed but it's only 10 min walk to get to central Patong Beach.

Peaceful and quite gem in the middle of Patong

Pros: Friendly staff, excellent facilities, fantastic pool, nice and quiet resort, easy parking.
Cons: Next to the bed should be power outlets so we can charge and use iPhone, iPad etc while in bed.
Clean good sized room, friendly and helpful staff, quality linen all the extras as stated in the advertising. Centrally located however tucked away from the hustlel and bustlel. The resort is so quiet, you wouldn't know that you're right in the middle of town. We LOVED the pool. Clean water, large pool, possible to swim laps. The resort offers massage at street prices. My wife and I had first class massage by Genow, who was a professional top notch masseuse. Best massage we've had and we've been coming to Thailand for years. Fantastic resort, highly recommended and will come back.

Very convenient

Hotel location was in a great location close to everything but still quiet enough that you could sleep. Bed was a little firm for me. 2 restaurants just down Soi were very convenient as well

Nice hotel but very misleading policies..

When choosing this hotel I specifically contacted them to make sure it was guest friendly . was told Yes, it is. Guest friendly = you are able to bring guests back to the resort as you see fit. Once I arrived I was told that I was not able to have a guest either at the pool or with me at breakfast that I had already prepaid for two people for daily use.. when requesting a refund for one breakfast , I was denied. I would not have booked this room if told the true policy.

Kindly be advised that the hotel has reserved the right to allow only registered guests to use the facilities within the premise. Any extra person who has later joined the room will not be entitled to claim for any service such as breakfast, swimming pool. That why we can not allow your guest friendly join breakfast and can not swim.

Rude reception staff

Pros: the condition
Cons: train staff better and or fire the ladyboy at reception
Location: relatively central but still quite
Rude and very unpleasant ladyboy working at reception. Lost my girlfriends ID card and did not apologize. Agreed to a late checkout at 2PM but forgot to put into there computer system and I was asked to leave at 12. Tried to charge me for a beach towel that had already been returned. Defiantly will not be returning.
