Nice hotel but may need to improve abit

Overall our experience was great. However, we would recommend for restaurant staffs to be more prepared on handling hotel guests especially it is a festive holiday. Further, if there is a high guest traffic, the breakfast service should consider to extend the time or advise guests at least ten minutes before breakfast service ends. What had impressed us a lot is the spa and their service. Great promotion deal, marvelous massage techniques and friendly service. We would go back again for our next trip to pattaya.

Not what I expected

I’ve stayed at this hotel when it was under Marriott name and the experience was great so I booked it this time too. The location is great. At check in the staff told us there is 1000 baht charge for any visiter to my room any time of the day, overnight I can understand but any time of the day for any duration that I don’t understand and there is no mention of it on their website or on Expedia, we had to complain to the manager which he end up giving us a waiver. The room looked great at first but then I noticed there are insects on the desk table something you don’t expect in 5 star hotel. The breakfast was ok and again there was insects flying on the bread when I complained to the staff about it she just waived her hand on the bread and did nothing. At check out we asked for the hotel taxi to take us to our next hotel the taxi dropped us at the wrong gate and refused to help us with our bags or take us to main gate. Just things you don’t expect in 5 star hotels.

For the insects, we have called to Pest control company to do extra fumigation during this period as it is the end of rainy season and entering to winter season, which is good time for insects. Room not as clean as I expected. The breakfast not so good. It’s an old hotel and it needs major improvement

Lovely modern hotel located close to nightlife are

Fabulous pool. Staff are very attentive. The pool guy named Ten is lovely. We had some rain during our stay and so when we wanted to leave the pool area, staff members escort you to cover with an umbrella :-) Hotel is facing the beach and on top of the nightlife. It is only about a 10 minute walk to Walking Street. The rooms are clean, comfortable and spacious. The only reason I have given 4/5 for the room is because my husband and I struggled getting in and out of the shower due to the big climb you have to do to get in and out of it, although I have to say the shower is amazing. Also, the furniture on the balcony could be a little more comfortable. We just used the cushions off the chair in the room to sit on the balcony chairs. The hotel is attached to a mall with plenty of food places inside. Overall, a very pleasant stay. Will definitely stay at Avani again when we return to Pattaya.

Your comments regarding the balcony furniture in your room and the bathroom design are taken to heart and have been well noted, and apologies for that. Actually though, in our AVANI Terrace Junior Suites, in our Garden Wing, we have large, separate bathrooms with huge separate tubs and enclosed, walk-in showers. Additionally, one whole floor of our AVANI Garden Plus is dedicated to enclosed, walk-in showers only, so we’ll be able to better accommodate you in this area next time. Just let us know your particular design and configuration preferences. We were very happy to learn you will definitely stay with us again when you return to Pattaya. This hotel is a nice comfortable choice. Bed was great and my room was quiet. Breakfast was good. Used the pool which was also nice. Close to every thing as well.

I've stayed here a few time & usually good. I'm a platinum member of ghd & should get benefits including free room upgrade. I've never received the benefits or a room upgrade, so I will not be using this hotel again. When I asked for my upgrade they tried to change me. I have not had this problem with other hotels in this group.

Highest Quality Hotel with Fantastic Service

Cons: Fitness Equipment needs to be upgraded in particular Treadmills
Location: Best Location in the heart of Pattaya attached to Royal Garden Shopping Mall
Having stayed in over 15 hotels during the past 4 months of holidaying in Thailand and Hong Kong, this hotel is not only our last hotel for our 2017 holiday but will be remembered with fondness as it was simply the best of all establishments we have had the pleasure of staying in. The service at this hotel is exactly what drew me Thailand 2 decades ago... Service is sensational as are the eating options in particular the breakfast at Garden Cafe ;-) The most comfortable rooms with all attention to detail considered to ensure clientele is comfortably taken care of.. Even down to the JBL Clock Radio which was excellent...!! The pool and gardens areas are simply as good as it gets...!! Highly recommend a stay at Avani Pattaya.... As a client of 5 star hotels very regulary, this establishment wont disappoint and great value for money.... Not a big fan of Pattaya however like all locations, people make the destination and the service and staff at this hotel are first class...!!!
