Dissapointed stay

Pros: Spectacular views
Cons: Don't let rooms out that are not to a certain standard.
Location: A bit of a walk to shops and restaurants but away from the noise.
As soon as you walked in to this very nice room you just noticed the damage on the wooden flooring from what must have been a flood. Also they had work being done on the other rooms on our level and we could hear this at 8.30 am and could see all the old floor outside the other room. We had booked 2 nights here and spent the rest of our stay at Amari Garden which was a lot cheaper and we enjoyed this hotel more.

We had a wonderful holiday at Cape Dara. The hotel has the best staff, the room was beautiful and so well looked after every day. The Executive Club was exceptional. Excellent food, fabulous cocktails and the most wonderful staff. The only down side was the lack of sunbeds around the pools and on the beach. The hotel was busy and unless you came down very early all the beds were taken. This wasn't helped by people getting up very early and putting towels on the beds then vanishing for several hours.

Attentive staff

This is my second visit to the hotel. This time I am impressed with the guard staff at the beach and pool who are very attentive of the guests's security to prevent any unforeseen accident. The guard would stop the guests from slip on sharp shell on the rock.

Cons: Staff need too be truthful and care about customers ...
The resort only cares about money and doesn't care about anything else. They purposefully delayed giving us the breakfast voucher to ensure we won't eat breakfast for the day. Strategy was to delay just till 10.30 AM, so that we can't have breakfast. The host kept repeating they can't let me in to the restaurant because of money associated with the breakfast voucher needs to be confirmed and made sure he never got back even after he got the green light. The most disappointing part was the MANAGER lying to us that the host informed us that it was OK to have breakfast when the host clearly said NO! You ask the concierge for taxi and they call a private person to drive you so that they can charge you double. The staff lost all the credibility by doing this. Nothing that was promised in the welcome letter was fully offered during the stay starting form the basic welcome drink. Cleanliness was not up to mark either. I would highly recommend not to stay here.
