Nice hotel - careful, there are 2 Centaras

Stayed 23-Dec-2014 for 2-nights in Deluxe room 603 Got a good discount, so made this affordable. Lift and safe-in-room, electronic keycard Good selections of coffee/teas in room Good shower cubicle No hot water from 20:30pm on 1 day. 3-staff attended the room to investigate, finally had a cold shower at 21:15pm. Hot water resumed at 9:00am the next day, hotel claimed the next day it was hotel-wide (if it was, not sure why it took 45mins and 3-staff to investigate in my room!). Balcony overlooking the pool. There are 2-Centara's 5-mins apart. We stayed in Centara-Nova which was 10-mins from the beach The Centara-Hotel the other, close to the main road, is 5-mins from the beach. Prior to the booking, Expedia link showed our hotel incorrectly as the other hotel (5mins from beach) which is why I booked it. On arrival I found it was 10-mins walk. A few good local-type restaurants nearby, including a 24-hour bar with mini-restaurant attached (it was open at 2am). We ate at one good local restaurant near our hotel which we would have missed out on had we stayed at the other Centara. Night receptionist rude - shouting across the large lobby when we returned 1st night to our rooms at 3am. We shouted back - problem sorted, no issues on our 2nd night Difficult to get taxis on checkout to another hotel in Pattaya. Most only want to go to Bangkok. However a small 1-taxi office opposite hotel finally helped us. Would I stay again. Yes, Maybe even try the closer Centara-Hotel

NEVER AGAIN !!! Isolated, noisy, useless WiFi, pr

I booked into this hotel for two separate stays over 10 nights (May 2015) and I regret to say there was nothing good about this hotel whatsoever. To far from shops and restaurants. Lack of help at the fron desk beggars belief. First night I was woken at 4.10 A.M. by insects in the bed plus there were roosters crowing next door. These roosters crow EVERY MORNING from about 4.00 AM. The hotel kindly gave me another room only to be woken before 8.00 AM by people shouting and screaming in the swimming pool. PB. All the rooms face the pool on one side and all rooms share a common open balcony which is open to any passing road noise. So, roosters crowing at 4.00 AM, noisy pool goers from 8.00 AM and street noise 24/7. The lack of English speaking people at the front desk drove me crazy. When I did find someone who could speak English they were VERY VERY reluctant to give any advice about the area and places of interest. This lack of help I found very insulting and if they ever come to my country I hope they are treated in the same disgusting manner. The manager was nice but never there when needed. The lift was also drenched with dirty water from people who use the pool. Two days before my departure I was given permission to keep my room until 6.00 PM – late check out, for an extra 500 Baht only to be phoned up by a very rude lady on my last day who said I had not booked the room to 6.00 PM and the hotel was fully booked so I had to get out. Great place - value for money

Location is awkward to get to. Free shuttle doesn't run frequently enough. Overall stay was enjoyable, food, room and staff were great. More control over the noise in the pool would be appreciated. Too much screaming and very loud conversations that made it difficult to rest. My holiday was to recuperate and it was difficult to do so. The bar on the mezzanine was never open. So had nowhere to have a quite drink after dinner.

Wet Boy in Pattaya

Pros: A culture clash unfortunately. Mostly the hotel was used by Indians and Iranians. They were having a great time but lots of noise during the night
Cons: Its ok for what it is
Location: Great location in this area but worth paying more for a quiet night if that is what you want. There are better hotels in the area.
I came here during the water festival (Socran). One or two days was good fun but it lasted for 7 days !! Could not plan to do anything other than to get soaked in water day and night. Unless you are a seal avoid this week. Otherwise the town was buzzing with lots to do. I went to the islands twice by ferry and had peaceful days in beautiful clear warm water. Shopping was not expensive and I could get English newspapers on the day they were printed in London. Evenings dining outside was perfect, dinner for 2 and 3/4 beers each for about 7 quid.

Adjacent building works

Nice friendly staff. Building works from amari next door will wake you early...as will the Cockeral...been outside hotel for years!! Food in restaurant is fairly good. Room service always arrives cold. Location is good but no decent restaurants nearby if dont want to eat in hotel!!

Not bad, not great..

The hotel and staff are fine but it is jut getting let down by a few small things that don't make it value for money. Things like the sliding door's handle had broken off, toilet roll holder hanging out of the wall, mould in the shower, ants all over the deck ect. As a hotel and spa, I assumed it would be a relaxing place to rest, however there are roosters behind the hotel that make a lot of noise very early every morning, followed by the banging and and electric saw firing up from the construction site right next door, there is also highly repetitive music placed in the pool area that can be heard in every room, even with the doors closed. On the up side, the breakfast was good and there is a store right across the road but to honest, I was expecting more for the price I payed.

make sure you get the right hotel

when booking looked at position of hotel thought good only to find i was booked into sister hotel a bit out on a limb next to a building site usual noises stayed one night asked to stay where i thought i was going fantastic moved me straight away for the rest of the trip also they had an electric cart service running between hotels no bar only pool drinks part my fault nova centara hotel pattaya is the one i wanted it has a bar

We only go back if we are desperate

Clean and comfortable, I don't know if it is luck of experience? Staff are not helpful after organizing tranport the day before, the next day we had to wait over 2 hours. They couldn't even give us explanation. But facility is very good

hotel a bit to far from the centre of pattaya

Location: to far to beach I spent about £150 on motorcycle taxis in the 16 nites I was there..
building hotel next door, got sick of the noise from the site, no sun on pool most of the day...its an issue
