Solid Place to Stay

Hotel is clean and user friendly. Because of hotel size there is a decent amount of walking to & from elevators etc. Room was clean & spacious. The staff was EXCELLENT. Staff didnt wait to be asked they offered services. The hotel across the street and 500 feet from the Quick Silver Lift at Peak 9. If skiing in Breck again would not hesitate to stay here!

Never again

Where do I start. I am only leaving this review because I never do and people need to know what a complete mess this hotel is is. I’m not sure who is running this place but it is a joke. First I paid for a room that sleeps 6 in Expedia and got a room that slept 4, next to the housekeeper closet that left large bags of trash in the hallway all day and night in their cart so our room smelled lit me trash. Then, the food in the dining room/restaurant (not cafe) is over priced and horrible. We should have left when the table next to us complained how terrible their food was. Don’t Eat here. Next, when checking out, I went to pay my $35 valet fee (and btw it took 45 minutes for them to bring me my car-no joke) and was charged $191. Which the staff told me they didn’t charge me even though it showed on my account and gave me a number I could call to have it taken off. Now a mistake they made I have to take time to undo what they did??? Staff at desk is snarky and rude. Not a fan of this hotel. Rooms were clean but that was it.

Food service and customer service ... meh.

Food service was actually disgusting, and the times they stated food service was available did not apply because there was not enough staff to provide service. And the overall feeling of the staff was they couldn’t be bothered to help.

Poor service, dirty

Be prepared to wait. You need to wait to check in, wait for your car, wait to get your skis and wait to get food.

Staff Failed at Delivering World Class Service

Cons: Delivering World Class Experience
I have felt that most hospitality staff in Brekenridge have a sour attitude towards tourists. I am not a tourist, and live in another CO ski area. I work in hospitality myself, and understand that tourists are the ones that pay my bills and support my way of life HERE. I really wish I could have had a different experience at The Double Tree.

Hotel staff were nice and friendly, there just didn’t seem to be nearly enough of them. Room was about average but the mattress was very comfortable. The hotel is built on a hill so if you stay above the 6th floor you will have to walk down 2 hallways and have to take 2 elevators just to get to your floor, just inconvenient especially when trying to carry anything. There is no parking on site and you are forced to pay the expensive valet parking each day on top of your room rate (Unless you want to carry your stuff up from the satellite lots). I felt that I paid way to much for a lot of inconveniences. I probably will not stay here again unless it is an extremely good deal, they hire some more valet and front desk staff, and I get a room below the 6th floor.
