Pros: We enjoyed the location as it is in walking distance to the marina and town. You can easily get a water taxi and head over to to Medano Beach.
Great resort. Meals were excellent in the restaurants. We were not a big fan of the buffet for breakfast. On the last day we ordered room service for breakfast and it was very good. This was a better option for my husband and I.

Perfect location

we left this hotel because it was easy to walk to the marina and downtown if you wanted to get off the resort. The hotel staff was absolutely incredible and the hotel was extremely clean and we are pretty picky about cleanliness. Fantastic pool and our drinks were never into the entire time we were there. The only negatives are things that are common to all inclusive. The buffets were really great But the specialty restaurants were very ordinary. The restaurants appearances were wonderful but the actual food could use some improvement. Incredible views wonderful rooms.

Beautiful views, great location, excellent food!

We enjoyed our week at Sandos Finisterra! The pools, the view, the food, the pampering....just an amazingly relaxing vacation! David at the Whale Watchers Bar was an especially good bartender. We will certainly return to Sandos Finisterra!

A short walk to the marina and downtown

This is the best location you can get. It’s a short walk walk to the marina and downtown. It’s very safe very clean everywhere. Our only issue was that the room we had seemed to catch all the sounds from the hallway. A door being closed normally sounds like it was being slammed. And with people coming back at all times of the night it would wake us up at night. It’s not the people’s fault it’s some weird acoustics going on. Our bathroom was hot because the AC is in the section where the beds are but we were able to deal with it. We loved that it was so close to where we wanted to go. We also loved that we can see whales from our balcony ! The staff was great but we noticed a difference in service when we let the staff know we were mexican versus when we acted like we speak English only Americans which equaled better service. My friend and I spent most time out so we ate out the most. The food in the hotel was good. I wasn’t really interested in food this time around I just wanted to have something in my stomach and go out and explore and meet people. The views from the 7th floor is amazing. And the staff help you get a cab ASAP. Over all it was good experience. I want to come back and bring my mom and for sure we will stay in Sandos.

Beautiful setting, it's nice to have both the ocean and marina views. Location to marina is handy to grab a water taxi and take in the busyness and fun of Medano beach and then head back to resort for a more calm atmosphere.

Reccomendation to everyone to stay in this resort

Everything is great in this resort. Starting with the front desk when you first step in the hotel, to the pool stuff, and to the restaurants services. Greatly reccomendations for this resort! p.s. Their Michael Jackson show is on the must see list

30th Anniversary Celebration

Stunning location with both Pacific Ocean and sea of cortez/cabo marina views available all at this one property. Good variety of delicious foods available at the various onsite eateries. Handy bar locations for beverages. Easy walk in to the marina for water based excursions. You can also walk in to town for shopping and entertainment purposes. If you want all inclusive and yet want to catch a bit of the local feel and flavor this is the perfect spot to do so from.

Vacation from Hell

Location: Maria area is great. Medano Beach is awesome.
Driving up the pathway to a beautiful resort to be greeted by staff started our vacation off to a pleasant surprise. Check in was a breeze and off to our room we went. Stunning was the first impression that came to mind as we entered and took a look around. Disappointment settled in soon after as we opened the curtains to our view of the backside of a bank of rooms that blocked the ocean view we were suppose to have. We asked for a room change and were told there was nothing available and to check in "tomorrow." Let's just say "tomorrow" never came. Day two, I wake up at midnight very ill. After being up all night with Montezuma's revenge and vomiting I called the Concierge desk for assistance. They invited me to the resort doctor's office at no charge and assured they would take care of everything. After my visit with the doctor she advised I needed to go to the hospital, off we went. Upon arriving at the hospital I received care. The staff was great, doctor was phenomenal and after a 12 hour stay I was released back to vacation with recommendations of eating a bland diet for the remainder of the trip so my stomach could settle. All that for a low low cost of $3,650. During the stay I find out that the doctor at the resort is employed by this clinic. I was not given a choice of where to go, there was no negotiations on that. The next day while out and about I notice at least 10 other 24 hour urgent care facilities in the same area. Out of room to continue...

Dear Allan, We appreciate the time you have taken to share your personal opinion about your recent experience with us and we sincerely regret you got ill already on the second day of your stay. Our chief concierge Rafael indeed was personally with you in the process of visiting the doctor and after the doctors 'recommendation, further observation in the hospital due to the dehydration suffered was required. The doctor service located in every hotel in Cabos, is a private doctor service, as well as the hospitals in the area, to assure medical attention is present in hotels and resort in touristic areas 24/7 to guarantee all visitors are attended in the best way when health assistance is required. The hotel does not have any profit in the doctor's attention, we just want to assure our guests being attended as soon as possible when a health issue, an accident or any incident occurs during your precious vacations. The assistance you received in the hotel was not charged, as a courtesy of the doctor, but indeed the attention in the hospital had an extra cost and as our chief concierge explained, these costs are reimbursed by your health insurance once you arrive home safe and well. We apologize if this was not explained as you deserve, our chief concierge and the rest of the team had the best intentions to assure your recuperation and we sincerely hope you have recovered well. We would like to emphasize our commitment to provide our customers with quality and safe food, having every week over 500 guests in our hotel, the well being of all our visitors is very important. Storage rooms, kitchen areas, swimming areas, etc have strict quality controls by intern and extern specialists to guarantee the health and safety of all our guests. We hope you will give us the opportunity to welcome you back, so we can change your perception. Sincerely
