"I can't say enough good things about this place."
This place is such a gem, I kind of don't want to say anything positive because I would like it to stay the feat it is. Hidden and amazing. It is definitely off the beaten path and a distance from the beach. We rented a car so it was great. the staff was incredible. Delicious breakfast. The grounds were cultural and perfect. We got a room with a hammock and loved it. I will be going back for sure.

Castillo Blarney was just wonderful! It was the first time either of us had been to Cabo. The owner, Brian, called me a few days before our trip to touch base with us, and give us some useful tips and pointers, which I very much appreciated! He told me the names of the staff and about the other couples that would be there during our stay... I felt like I knew these people before I had even met them.
The hotel (more like a villa) has some hurricane damage, but you could tell how beautiful it is, even with the peeling paint. There is stone work everywhere, with bridges, and even cannons... It is literally a castle!
There are only 6 or 7 rooms total, but we loved the intimate feel of it. Our room was huge, with a FULL kitchen, and large balcony overlooking the pool. The pool isn't huge, but it's quite beautiful. The views of downtown and the ocean are breathtaking, but you are pretty far from the beaches. Breakfast is made fresh for you every morning, whatever your heart desires!
We had friends staying at a really fancy resort just down the road from us, and as convenient as modern amenities are (TV, granite counters, carpet), we both agreed that we liked our hotel better than theirs.
Overall, we had the best time and would recommend Castillo Blarney to anyone and everyone! We cannot wait to go back!

We needed a hotel for one night prior to checking into our resort for the week. We arrived very late due to our plane being delayed. Our key and welcome letter was nicely taped to the door. The room was spacious and very clean! We would stay at this hotel again in the future. It is also close to many restaurants and shops. Cute boutique hotel!

My family and I (husband, 4 adult children) just returned from a week at the Monte Cristo. Unfortunately, from the moment we were dropped off at the lobby we were treated inconsistently rude and disinterested. The concierge Eliza acted as though we crashed her private party. We not only carried our own luggage into the lobby, but we also had to ask if there was any storage available for it,r anyone to help us carry it there...she told us simply "no. we don't have anyone.". Really? She was obviously annoyed that we checked in an hour before our room was ready- The next delightful phrase out of her mouth was "you don't have a reservation.". Um yes, I do...here is my confirmation number printed out on my Expedia intenerary. So we waited about 10 minutes while she typed (my husband and boys standing out of the curb with our luggage in the Mexican sun wondering if we were at the right place...) until she said "i need a credit card." This attitude continued all the way to Quivera, where the hostess literally pointed at my husband and said-"he doesn't look good" when I questioned her why some men were allowed to eat in FLIPFLOPS but he was required to change from a polo into a button-down. HBO, movies, luxurious bath products (not even conditioner!!)and other things listed on their website are non-existent, and no one cares! Our butler Edgardo did his best to accommodate us, but he was unsure about the inconsistent dress codes . Don't even get me started on La Frieda.
