basic but could improve

Pros: location is fairly quiet, plenty of parking, a hop skip and jump from McDonalds and a grocery store, across the street from a park
Cons: Cleaning
We stayed 3 nights. Our room was ok, but there were water ? stains on the bathroom wall that had not been cleaned, the door viewer to the hallway was out and the hole was stuffed with a kleenex, and we did not see much evidence of any cleaning during the time we were there. Staff is friendly, and there were cookies when we arrived at the front desk. The breakfast is ok, and there was some fresh fruit and yogurt if you didn't want all the carbs from gravy and biscuits, waffles and pastries.

Perfect getaway!

Everyone was very friendly and helpful, my room was sweet and clean and comfortable, and the location is conveniently close to shopping and the downtown. Thank you for a lovely time!

Needs a Little TLC

We've stayed here often when we've visited Pella, but the property is showing its age. Our recliner had broken springs, and our windows were dirty. The bathroom also smelled of urine a bit. The managers are very friendly and helpful, though, and the price is good for this location. The bed was very comfortable, and I appreciated the constant free coffee in the lobby!

The hotel was easy to get to. Only real issue I had was the bed mattress leaned towards the middle of the bed, which led to more tossing and turning than normal. The second bed was also extremely close to the air conditioning into, which made for some cold feet. The staff was very pleasant and easy to work with.

Excellent Budget Hotel

Pros: Good quality for the price
Cons: The staff could be more professional in appearance and conduct, although they were very friendly.
Location: Pella is a gem of a city. George's Pizza is excellent. There is a lot of Dutch heritage and plenty of flowers.
This hotel is surprisingly good for the price we paid. The room was clean, the staff was friendly and there was breakfast. There is some wear on the building, the staff are quite informal, and the breakfast is very basic. Overall good.
