i would never stay at this motel ever again, rude owner custumer is always write does not apply at all at this motel never been mistreated like this in my life.....

New owners and they're trying

Pros: Reasonable rates, fairly clean.
Cons: They are new owners and are trying to get it right. Pretty sure this is their first attempt at this and they need to attend to the exterior.
Location: Very handy to shopping and restaurants, but not a lot to do along the Ottawa river at that location.
They need to update the water supply, very difficult to shower, low water pressure. They also need to improve the outside seating and cleaning of same.

Had trouble with door lock. They fixed it but still had problems.

Smelly room

We travelled with a pet. The room they put us in was very smelly, a cat urine smell. It was very bad. Also, snow shovels were thrown down bu the front door (August) and needs much repair. Continental breakfast disappointing

Convenient and easy to find

We stayed here as it was one of the higher rated hotels in the area. 15 years ago it probably was but it is dated and tired. In its defense it appears to be under new ownership and they are starting some renovations that are very overdue. The room was out of the mid 80's with furniture and chipped paint to match. My room had a large hole in the wall masked by an ironing board. The room was OK but the place lacked any pride of ownership. The television was intermittent, light switches finicky, bulbs mismatched and burnt out. The hallway connecting the rooms had a strong and unpleasant smell that I could not identify. The staff however were very friendly and very responsive. Twice I had to call the front desk and they were there in minutes. I think when they are done renovating it will me much nicer.

Friendly service

Pros: Friendly staff
Location: Close to several popular stores
Continental breakfast available free, and hot breakfast for a nominal fee

I was disappointed that when I booked on line the price was $114 and the next day it was on line for $91. Seemed like a rip off to me.

When we booked in the manager was very nice and helpful. the next day when we got back to our room the beds were not made and no clean towels, when we called the front desk the managers wife came up right away with clean towels for us. When I took the garbage down to the front desk the manager apologized and said the maid said the do not disturb sign was on the door and I explained to him all I told the maid that my wife was having a shower and she left as she did not understand english
