Great location. The property needs some maintenance to keep Up the charm depicted in promotional photos. The pool was refreshing however needs a good scrub. Breakfast was very average with limited selection. Overall the stay was enjoyable.

Mosquito And Dust
My sister got bitten all over by mosquitoes in the room. Dust is everywhere, tables, chairs, tea cups. Kettle has dust outside, tea stain inside. Breakfast is poor. Cutlery are dirty and dusty. More than twice, I had to asked for clean cutlery. They have 1 guy only who is the cleaner, also the cook. Scramble egg and omelette are the same, only in different shape. Most of the pancakes are not either brown or fluffy. Veggie is 3 slices of grilled tomato only, nothing else. The pool machine is very noisy. The surrounding area is stinky. Sewage system along the road widely open. The design of the hotel is very nice, has a boutique and rustic feel but the service needs to be improved.

Rundown hotel
The hotel is very shoddy and rundown. definitely not worth the price. i checked in and left immediately for another hotel. The staff was very nice and accomodating but nothing can make up for the state of the hotel itself. sorry i wouldnt recomment this to anyone.

Alright but poor facilities
We came here based on reviews but the wireless was poor and not many t.v. channels. The location was pretty good with food and shops around but we would probably have preferred to be closer to the historical part. Breakfast was poor, my small kids eat cereal and none was available. We also had a family room which was a big mistake as we had a toddler always trting to go up and down the stairs and actually fell on the cement floor twice. It was not a child friendly room. The garden and pool was quaint. Unfortunately we did not get any sleep in the nights as there were road works from 10pm to 5am and you can hear everything in the room. We would not stay there again. Probably better for couples or adult travellers.

Beautiful hotel with fantastic staff
As soon as we arrived we received a warm welcome from the staff who were both extremely kind and knowledgeable about Georgetown. The room and hotel were fantastic, with the architectural charm of the city, and a short walk from the middle of the colonial area. We really enjoyed our stay and couldn't recommend it enough!

We loved the location
On arrival at the airport, we called a Grab car costing RM20. We stayed 2 nights in the upstairs room called Batik. It was at the back of the house, beside the garden, the skyline was 1st Avenue shopping mall. Very quiet room, no traffic noise. This is an old house converted to a hotel. 10 rooms. Not the usual western chain of hotel you may be used to. But it is charming, well kept, and a good experience if you are looking for a new taste. Less than 5 mins walk to the shopping mall where we had great shopping. Again less than 5 mins to the local coffee shops at Lebuh Presgrave where we had dinner one night. Enjoyed the food. Up the road at 179 Lebuh Noordin in another heritage house is the Little Kitchen Nyonya where we had Penang Peranakan food on our first night. Yet another experience. Overall, we enjoyed our stay at Noordin Street House. The 2 staff bent backwards to provide good service. Very affordable rate. Very good stay.

Staff could not do enough for us. Had an excellent stay. Right in the middle of the old town near bus stop. Great eatery nearby and food hawker around the corner with the best satay and cindel (dessert). garden/reading area/pool/ outdoor lounge-- has everything. nice quite relaxing accommodation.

Excellent boutique hotel
Stayed here for 2 nightts. . Different styles of rooms to chose from, we selected the Silk room which was perfect for my family of 2 teenagers and their mother. Pool area was great to cool off after a big day sightseeing in Georgetown. Location was good for us - close to the Komtar bus terminal. Sandra on reception was friendly and efficient- checkin and checkout were simple.

You won't regret this choice...
Noordin Street House was a great place to stay... good staff, great attitude towards service and very unique and comfortable accommodation. The area is easy to get around in on foot and though there are few restaurants in the immediate area there are many within 10-15 min walk away.

Quaint Old Fashion Hotel in Colonial Style
All in all I enjoyed my stay here, I would recommend it if you are looking to stay in characterful surroundings. The bed was comfortable with an elaborate mosquito net fitted to the frame of the bed. Shower certainly was hot, although the plumbing was a little noisy. Staff very nice and accommodating.. I ended up not wanting to use the swimming pool, although it really only needed good filtering. The breakfast was adequate, but a little too American - never got used to having pancakes with syrup and French toast, bread for toaster was tasteless. Would have like it to have been a little more English, marmalade and HP sauce would have been nice!

Quaint little place
Noordin Street House is a house converted into a hotel. There's only a small number of staff, but they are earnest and eager to help. The décor is pretty interesting, although I wish it was better maintained. Wi-Fi is a little slow, and TV only had a handful of cable channels (no news channels) Still, the hotel is in the middle of George Town and pretty near most tourist attractions.

Oasis in Georgetown
What a great place. Theres air-con, a cooling pool, great staff and comfortable rooms. And it's close to Georgetown and plenty of the Hawker Stalls, so although you'll be in the centre of things, you will also be in an old-style town-house with friendly staff.

Great hotel well located, lovely staff
We loved our stay here for four nights. The hotel is beautiful with a number of different inside and outside seating areas including lovely roof top area. Beautifully decorated. Our room was really big, with four poster bed and furniture and decor matching rest of hotel. Got some great tips from staff on arrival on where to hire a scooter, the free CAT bus and what to eat at the local hawker markets in the next street. Breakfast was included and we ate there on the first morning. Were nice choices (Western) including non-egg options which was great for me. Other mornings we either left too early or didn't want to fill up on Western food so we could eat our way around Georgetown streets! Location was fantastic for us. Would definitely stay again. Loved it.

Room with no windows
My room named, Velvet, had no windows. It was very dark and depressing. The coolest feature about the room, the shower, which was an enclosed room with stone floors and a wooden door, had no hot water. Wifi was extremely weak and there were literally 6 routers and 6 different passwords, none of them provided and decent connection. Wifi is extremely essential for a foreign traveler. There were lots of tacky advertisements in a bowl near the tv. On the upside the staff was extremely friendly and helpful, they deserve recognition. Breakfast was included in the morning which was nice, however, my order which was confirmed twice showed up incorrect. I did not send it back as it took a long time to receive it.

We were made to feel very welcome by all the staff who would attend to anything we needed. If you are staying here then a car would help as most attractions are are drive away. Parking outside is easy. Breakfast is very good.

Nice boutique hotel but service going down hill
Very different from my previous stay - had a feeling that is under a different management now. The room and hotel are well decorated. Upon check in, we felt a bit lost in communication with the front desk staff. Housekeeping staff left their cleaning stuff in the room, coffee/tea were not replenished, towels are old and dirty and if you do need anything for the room, you will have a great time trying to tell them what you want. I noticed that staff is always on their mobile phones. Loved the place but wont be back!

Some deterioration from previous stay
I had stayed at Noordin Street House in February 2014 (I actually booked Noordin Mews but when I got there, I was informed that the room I booked had a leak and the owner had no choice but to put me at Noordin Street House a few doors away) and was impressed with it then. However, I could not say the same for this trip. I had a warm welcome when I arrived and given a cool drink after checking in. I was offered an option of either the Batik or Pelikat room and after reviewing both, I decided on Pelikat Room which faces Noordin Street. Well, the air-condition didn’t work despite me lowering the temperature to 20C and turning on the fan. I thought it might be because the room faced the sun and it was just too hot during the day so I decided to just stick to the room - but the room stayed warm throughout my stay. Then I discovered that some water leaked from the fridge (don’t ask). And when I turned on the TV, there were only seven channels offered and nothing caught my fancy at all. I didn't stay here to be in my room but it would be nice to return to a cool room after a hot day out and have the choice of TV channels should I choose to watch the idiot box. The decoration didn't change after > 2.5 years which I found disappointing.

Convenient located hotel
Stay is great. Service is reasonable as they open door for one to enter. However if you happen to be bigger size do take note cause the door is a bit small. Fast check in quite fast check out although I had to signed on credit card bill again when I had already made payment when I booked. No invoice provided. Breakfast spread ok but abit little for our consumption. Cab to airport is charged by meter while hotel told us charge by fixed rate of RM 45 but We paid RM 50.

Decent place to stay
This hotel is in a traditional Penang house. Very easy access to the main area of George Town shops, restaurants, and tourist attractions (including street art). If you stay here, DO NOT stay in the Satin room though. We were in there and the connection to hotel wifi was not good.

Small treasure box:-)
This hotel is a treasure box. At first the shower/toilet position and the so called "windowlessness" was a little bit weird, but the warm welcoming, the kindness, the beautiful garden and the cleanness compensated everything. Ideal choice for two or three nights.Close to the downtown and the bus station.

Charming stay and wonderful staff.
Very charming hotel. Great for the price. We loved the design and loved how quiet it was. The staff were so upbeat and friendly. The beds are hard for western standards but it wasn't too hard here as we have slept on rocks in other hotels in Asia. The food in the cafe is very good and not at touristy where they change the taste for tourist. It was authentic. I would definitely stay again. I actually miss it.

Pet friendly vintage stay in Noordin St House
The vintage romantic atmosphere coupled with the oldies songs were a perfect welcome for us. However this hotel does not have any car park and you are expected to park at public carpack which you have to buy the parking tickets from the front desk. Hence there was no free carpack as mentioned. Room was spacious, clean and bathroom was generous in space compared to other heritage stays. The garden verandah is peaceful and a great place to hang out and sip a cup of tea in the evening. The breakfast was delicious and the dogs enjoyed themselves so much at Noordin St House. We will be back again next time.

Our family of four stayed here for four nights. The hotel staff couldn't be nicer. They look after your every need. Food in the restaurant is good and well priced. The gardens are beautiful and well maintained great for watching the nightly thunderstorms. Couldn't fault this place so much more personality than the big chain hotels. Perfect. Thankyou

Experience was very enjoyable with such friendly and helpful staff. Numerous quiet corners present within common areas where you could enjoy a book, partake in free afternoon tea or just relax. An oasis in Georgetown
We have never felt more welcome from staff who were attentive and determined to make our stay welcome. They provided us with cool drinks, afternoon tea, information and restaurant reservations. The hotel is charming and my only reservation is it can be noisy if kids are allowed to shout and scream while in the pool. The restaurant is excellent and open all day A very welcome oasis in Georgetown.
