Old but clean with great staff

Pros: pleasant look
Location: very safe and historic
This hotel is old but offers great value for price, especially the Breakfast with real food and strong coffee. Entire staff is very pleasant esp Gary and Night clerk. Management strives to offer decent first class hospitality under upper economy name even with well maintain old building. Bar and restaurant was a plus with broad choice of food. WiFi was super fast and rooms were comfortable, although it could use little bit more light esp above the sink counter. If you are a budget traveler than this is your best choice in this area.

Room was not like the pix. We traveled over a 1000 miles. The staff was great. Not the facility.

It was ok for the money...

It was ok for the money but not what I expected... I would not recommend it to friends and I wouldn't stay there again. The walls a very thin, a lot of noise and a train that came by at 2 am!! Hard to get a good night rest. Wifi was free and the breakfast was too. The room was very clean.

DO NOT STAY HERE

Pros: Nothing. Absolutely nothing.
Cons: I work in a hotel, and honestly, if the housekeepers left the bathroom in that condition, they'd be fired. The whole hotel needs to be burned down.
Location: Location was fine if you have a car.
FIRST of all, the photo of the rooms is incredibly deceiving. The rooms are smaller, with no chair in them. The room smelled musty, the shower curtain smelled of mildew, there was rust on ALL of the metal surfaces, I'm pretty sure there was mold in the light fixtures, the staff were rude and unapproachable... this was a horrible stay and I will recommend NOBODY stay there. One morning I called the front desk for more towels and was literally told no because she didn't have any. Not, "sure, let me call the housekeepers and I'll get you some", no. I was told "I ain't got none, you gotta go find a housekeeper", then was hung up on. I've never been treated so poorly at a hotel!! The best part were the bar staff in the old bar underneath the lobby. In short, I'm pretty sure I was poisoned by the hotel room, via mold and mildew, and I will not be back.

Dear Ali I am frustrated that you did not have a great experience at our property. After spending 4 nights at our location, one would feel that there were some positive aspects to our accommodations. I can assure you that we have a manager on staff every single day and should you have alerted us that you were unhappy, we most certainly would have made every effort to resolve your concerns or, as a last resort, assisted you in re booking an alternative accommodation. It is always the best case scenario that management be alerted during your stay, especially if staff have not responded to your needs. Most guests provide our staff we very positive feedback because in our training, we reinforce the value of courteous service. As with all feedback, I appreciate the comments, but as a suggestion, especially since you work in a hotel, there are several options every guest has whenever something is lacking, Communication is key, asking for a full refund for 4 nights, several days after departure is not reasonable when nothing is ever said during the stay. Once again, thank for the feedback.

Nice bed.

Pros: Nice bed
Cons: Lots of construction type noise from the room above.
Really soft, comfortable bed. Shower leaked onto the floor. Shower curtain didn't fit well. The door was swollen and cracked where it had absorbed water from the shower.

Does The Job

Pros: Staff was very helpful!
Cons: Coffee maker was broken, and I would recommend bring own shampoo, conditioner, soap, and moisturizer. AAAAND an freshener.
Located conveniently with an $8 Uber fare to most places. VERY surprised of the bar downstairs; a hidden treasure with friendly locals coming and going. A great local 'dive bar' atmosphere. Will visit again! The rooms; clearly used but the staff is doing what they can with what they got. Good for the money, tho.

Pros: Best part was pet-friendly!
Cons: Better coffee for room
Location: Go south on Palafox, and you are in the best part of downtown Pensacola!
Probably one of the best stays I've had! Worried at first because for the price I was expecting something a little under standard (yes, I got a great deal)! Room was clean, staff courteous, and location was good. I will definitely stay there again!

I chose this pet friendly hotel, according to the expedia description, but did not realize there was a pet fee. Room was fair. Needs some renovation.
