Proximity awesome

Posted Sep 9, 2017
Nice and close to the beach, restaurants and farmers market. Great view of the lake from the deck. Noisy at night due to outside pubs and wedding Air conditioner either hot or cold, adjustment did not work

Hotel only has one side with a view of the lake.

Didn't have any shampoo or coffee creamer in the room. My room overlooked the parking lot.

Thank you for your feed back I am not sure what room you stayed in but there are several room types that have a view of the lake. Coffee creamers were located in your mini Fridge and I am sure we could have brought you shampoo. Kind regards

Close to shops and on beach and Gym and juice bar!

It was hard to park with the Multisport 2017 going on so had to carry luggage a couple of blocks. Indoor pool was okay. Bathrooms need updates and shouldn't have to pay for parking with high nightly rate. Did enjoy we could walk to shops and restaurants.

Lakeside

Posted Aug 21, 2017
Nice downtown location within walking distance to Starbucks and several other restaurants. If I were to stay here again, I would request a lakeside view room. Hotel is situated right on the beach and the view is amazing.

Good beach option on the Lake

Posted Aug 21, 2017
Penticton Inn is a nice Lakeside property with good restaurant, pub and coffee shop options. Check in relatively efficient and hassle free. Room itself was a Lakeview King in the new wing. Lakeview was a bit of a stretch. It had a Parkview and Parking lot view that was contaminated by a small stretch of lake area, if you stood to one side of the deck and leaned right. The new building was nice and the room was very impressive but personally we would have rather had the old building and it's completely unobstructed lake views. Check out was a bit of a hassle and a desk clerk who was multi tasking and kept messing up the check out... For us as well as two other parties she tried to juggle at once. One felt that your stay was very much not her top priority! Nickle and dime on parking charges was also annoying. I'm going to drop $3K on rooms for 4 days but hey they don't include parking... Uh huh

Thank you for your feedback. As you can see the lake from those rooms, we do classify them as such. But yes, the views from the main building are full-on. Our apologies that you did not feel like your stay was a priority with the checkout clerk, we certainly strive to make each guest feel well looked after.

Great hotel on the lake

Posted Aug 20, 2017
Pros: Great location north the lake and south is downtown
Cons: Staff training how to dal woth customers, the room cleaners were the most friendly poeple in the hotel.
Location: Downtown is 5 minutes away and lots to do at the hotel boat, waverinner rental and para sailing. Hotel has private beach.
Hotel is very nice, ask for a balcony with view on the lake. The view is stunning, downtown is a 5 minute walk and the hotel is clean and pleasant. We found the staff ok, not always professional.

A lake shore room is a vision of paradise .

Posted Aug 19, 2017
Pros: The proximity to the public beach.
Cons: The decor of the room was spartan.
Location: Go for a swim and take a swing up the Naramata Road to the vineyards.
The eggs pacific at the Hooded Merganser complete the picture.

Noisy..

Posted Aug 19, 2017
The hotel seems to also operate a nightclub which has very loud music playing every night until midnight. We could hear it with all doors and windows closed. We complained but got conflicting stories as to whether another rooms was available/whether it would make any difference moving room. We ended up staying out and the hotel offered us some earplugs.. these never arrived... I wouldn't stay here again unless I was goi g to be out late at night! We had two children with us who were kept awake too. Receptionist n told me I wasn't the first person to complain about it but no one would turn the music down. The beach by the hotel isn't great - lots of weeds and debris seems to collect there. Much better going to Skaha lake or the main beach okanagan.

Our apologies if you found the weekend DJ music from The Barking Parrot Bar to be too loud for your taste. We do turn off the music on the patio completely at 11:00 pm in hopes to keep the music at a tolerant level for our hotel guests. Unfortunately, the hotel must have been at capacity. Otherwise, we could have moved you to another room to accommodate your needs. We hope you decide to stay with us again during your next visit to Penticton, so we can ensure the proper room for you.
