A good choice for staying if attending an event at the Civic Center; a short walk. Our room was fine, and there is plenty of parking. I would stay here again just for the easy walk to the arena. No breakfast or amenities to speak of, but I was aware of that when booking.

The pictures on website are 20 years outdated. Rooms had dirty carpet and not clean. Hotel room door didn’t even close properly.

Staff was nice but I think very disorganized rooms were clean but most of the lamps didn’t work tv would not turn on and off with remote there was only one cup and one package of coffee in the room for 2 people went down to lobby for coffee at 6:30 am had to wait half hour cause staff had to make some the room needed new carpet and paint and the bed was very uncomfortable

We liked the easy parking and the bed was comfortable. Staff was very friendly. Check-in and check-out was seamless. There was 2 red stains on the carpet in our room (hoping it was nail polish). Wish they had a restaurant on-site.

Checking in was easy. It sounded like someone was trying to come into our room at one point and then our door opened sometime around midnight but we had the bolt in place. They apologized and said I’m so sorry this is the front desk and then you could her and a man say “you messed up”. The sound on our TV did not work which was a little disappointing. The carpet needs to be cleaned or removed. It has a lot of stains and just looked very icky.

Back door was broke so had a to take 3 trips carrying my luggage in from the back hotel parking lot to the front door. First room hadn’t been touched by housekeeping, second room had guest in the room sleeping, third room none of the actual lights worked- just a lamp but it was better than nothing at that point. One front desk lady was apologetic and helpful and the other one never put her phone down or got up from her chair during my entire check in process or the 20 minutes it took carrying my luggage back and fourth between the 5th floor. I was told there was a $40 deposit but my card was charged $67.37 and they wrote it in as some senior rate? I shouldn’t have had a rate when I prepaid with Expedia so I’m waiting to hear back from the bank on that. The hotel lobby was extremely dark and uninvited. It reminded me of a bed and breakfast from a scary movie. Overall the hotel is extremely outdated and you can tell no one is planning to revamp or fix anything. I think Covid may of did a number but it’s sad to see a long time peoria hotel go downhill. No restaurant or bar.

I haven’t been there for years I was once a nice I’m not gonna critique anything about the hotel, except for the two things that really bothered me, number one was the freaking elevator. We used it once it was very slow then it did not work again. I’ve been ill, and I have severe asthma, and the five flights of stairs, after having come back from a for me, and it made me very unhappy, then I go into my room and get into the bed for the first time and I am a comfy bed girl. This bed was completely the opposite. No sleep comfort at all. The pluses were the bathroom was very clean and had really wonderful products in the shower. The shampoo and conditioner and body wash were really nice. I usually stay in pretty nice hotels, and I’m always fair, I will really try and be the elevator was very disappointing, because I could barely make it up there without wheezing and needed my inhaler after, but the bed was a dealbreaker, I want comfort I have health issues that I need a nice bed. Definitely need to do some upgrades. Your parking is great. Your location is nice. Do something to make it even better deal with the elevator put in some comfortable beds.

Looks ran down & nothing like the pictures. Stains. Walks are warped. Fire alarm ripped off the wall, left cords hanging. Very hard beds with topper that was too small.

The door by the parking lot was blocked off due to some snow. It was below zero but everyone had to walk around to get in. No shuttle to the civic center. No free continental breakfast.

We got to the hotel late in the evening to check in, waited a half hour in the lobby, no one ever came to the desk. We walked all over the hotel to find someone, there was no one around. Front door not locked, elevators not locked. We were forced to leave there in subzero temps to drive to another hotel. The most awful and unsafe experience.

Absolutely terrible
Hotel lost out reservation. Absolutely no help, just sorry don't have it. We updated our system and a lot of reservations were lost. As I stood there in disbelieve I asked so what do we do now. The lady behind the contour don't know, but we don't have your reservation. TERRIBLE customer service. Mark Twain hotel management seriously needs to reevaluate there hiring criteria for their staff. If you don't good luck staying in business because I would NEVER attempt to stay there in the future. I would sleep in my car. You have been warned and watch out for bed bugs. Read the reviews.

Room was dirty carpet look so gross and stained up for a famous name sure was a let down. Sink didn't work cold shower sheets had hair on them and could tell they had not been changed. Phone didn't work I had to use my cell to call down a few times front desk was rude and just just to me but to several other people I watched with my own eyes. I feel like for a famous name it should definitely be better I won't stay there again nor recommend this place

First when we arrived the door was locked so had to call the hotel to be let in. She was had her family and friends in the lobby drinking and smoking. The room was EXTREMELY disgusting. By far the worst hotel I've ever stayed at. Stains all over the floor, the bed didnt have a fitted sheet on it. The carpet was coming up and the beds were uncomfortable. The room was musty. The ice machine on our floor was out of service.

Our room was on the 5th floor...the carpet was super dirty and the phone inside the room didn't work...we did get a glimpse of a room on the 6th floor and it was waaaaay better..I'm going to assume for the sake of argument that maybe they're slowly remodeling??..but the lobby was at least decent. We only needed to stay for 1 night to be close to the venue (Peoria Civic Center) and early the very next day we were gone...I probably wouldn't stay there again.

The coffeemaker in my room didn't really work and the supplies for the coffee were not provided (I had to help myself in the lobby). Also I asked the front desk if I could borrow a corkscrew for some wine, and the clerk was completely baffled by the request (so, I bought one elsewhere). Finally, my room went uncleaned my second day, which is not a problem if I had been aware. Otherwise the staff seemed friendly and helpful and the place was better than the reviews indicated. I hope they can improve.

When you walk into the lobby you would think you’re in a cozy, quant space. However once you get into the room it’s a different story. The carpet looks like it hasn’t been vacuumed exposed cords from the tv exposed. Holes in walls the run for the shower floor was rolled up on top of the towels. Bed was so uncomfortable I slept on top of the covers because I was scared to sleep in the sheets.

Carpet not vacuumed around the edges found a cockroach crawling around in bathroom the next morning. We were worried about our luggage and bringing one home Outside is run down and gives the feeling of the hotel being vacant Bed was comfortable and the bedding was clean We stayed on the second floor which was supposed be one of the updated floors. Overall the room was shabby and was badly in need of some tlc
