Good hotel

Hotel was clean and staff was friendly. They are remodeling, but wasn’t a issue. Breakfast was good and fulfilling. Would recommend.

Poor facilites, Wait until renovation is complete

Location: Location great for me, near my grandkids
Great staff, friendly, and very helpful. Hotel is being renovated, so it left a lot to be desired, stained rugs, unpleasant smells, overall dirt/dinginess. We were not informed that there would be no Xmas day service, so when we came back to the room with relatives, we were quite surprised to see the bed unmade and bathroom not done. Another problem was that the plumbing was terrible, so when we took showers, the water did not drain but filled the tub. After the 1st night we changed rooms because the tub wouldn't drain at all, but the 2nd room wasn't any better. They did send maintenance up when we complained, and that improved the situation somewhat but not completely. We decided not to move again b/c we thought another room would have the same problem. I'd definitely wait until they have finished renovating before booking here again.

Convenient location, the hotel needs improvements

The facade is being renovated but internally is completely ugly, dirty and smelly. There is mold everywhere. The staff was really great.

Hotel is undergoing renovations

Pros: Great staff
Guests should be informed when booking when a hotel is under renovations. Water was off at a timeframe I needed to shower and prepare for a dinner I was attending. Hotel staff was great and will give it another chance once renovations, which are greatly needed, are completed.

Not great

Under construction, didn't get handicapped room, handicapped person in my group couldn't take a shower because of that, also needed assistance just to use the toilet

Seen better days, hopefully renovation goes well

Pros: The hotel staff was mostly accommodating. The room was clean and the bed comfortable. The shower was hot. The breakfast spread had a nice selection.
Cons: Perhaps a prior warning of renovation and discount. Due to the overall condition of the building it seems that it was a bit late, however necessary.
Location: Sandysprings is a well bustling and expanding hospital town with nice parks, stores and a large mall. The area also has a nice restaurant selection.
Growing up, I had a sickly sibling that had to regularly go to the Children's Healthcare Scottish Rite Hospital. While staying in the Sandysprings area, we would stay at the Comfort Suites off of Peachtree Dunwoody Rd. It was always a pleasant stay and I have fond memories of the place. Nearly 15 yrs later I now have my own family and had to take my toddler to the local healthcare center. Of course Comfort Suites was my first choice. After a long drive we get here to find that they're renovating! Which includes every window being taped up for painting and waking up to construction sounds in the morning. Also, the 1st floor's carpet appears to be worn down by constant traffic. The hotel staff placed us on the 2nd floor, which appeared to be a bit better. Sadly the taped up windows meant my son and I couldn't look over the city skyline, a past time of ours. The banging in the morning wasn't bad because the little one wakes up early anyway. Fortunately we only stayed one night. My wife and son seemed to enjoy their stay. The room was clean and comfortable, the shower was nice and hot and the breakfast was quite substantial. I believe after the renovations are complete this will once a gain be a nice place to stay. But until then I would recommend avoiding.

Ratings unreal. Musty with papered-over windows

I chose the hotel based on Expedia ratings (over four). I found that they usually are on the mark, but they are disastrously off here. So it is my time to repay the Expedia community and help others make an informed choice. The carpet on the hallways is musty, with a pervasive smell of mold, everything is old and repellent. Carpet in the room is not much better, stained, smelly, same as the sofa. The windows are papered-over, probably to obstruct a street light. Given that windows do not open, it feels like a jail cell. The only exception to the whole repulsiveness of the hotel is the breakfast room, which is decent, as is the breakfast. Given that i paid as much as for a downtown hotel, it is not enough to redeem the hotel, or make it a decent choice.

Great location

Pros: location
Cons: I wish the pool would have been open so we could have sat and enjoyed the fresh air and relaxed.
Location: Publix, Domino's, Subway, chinese restaurant, Mexican restaurant and a Rite Aid all in walking distance.
Great location to the hospital. Friendly staff. breakfast was good. Overall visit/stay excellent
