disappointing

Posted Dec 10, 2017
Pros: convenience
Cons: detailed above
I had a reservation for weeks in advance. The hotel charged my card and prechecked me two days before the stay as a 'frequent stayer'. The day of check in was heavy snow and it was difficult to navigate around the property. When I checked in around 6p there were no ground floor rooms available. The second floor room I received was on the far back side of the property which was quite a walk in the snow. When I got there i found a room that smelled of spoiled fish and had a dirty bedroom wall. I asked about another room and was told there was a third floor room available. Unfortunately I am asthmatic and the cold air makes the climb with loaded bags difficult. There is no elevator. At 1 am a burning smell filled the room and the smoke alarm went off. The front desk told me it as just the heating coming on and mot to be concerned but an engineer would come. He switched out the smoke alarm and did a cursory check of the heating system with no apparent problems. I sent two messages to management with no response. This is not what I expected from Sonesta and not what previous stays have shown me. Maybe it was just a bad day.

Caters to Extended Stay People

Posted Nov 6, 2017
Pros: Full kitchen with cooktop, residential refrigerator, cookware and dishes..Very spacious. Separate bedroom and living room. Nice walk in closet.
Cons: There were a few places that looked worn or aged - most of the carpet and the ceiling lights.Very limited dish supply. 2nd / 3rd floor w/ no elevator.
Location: Near 400 freeway, near the mall
Mostly liked it with some exceptions. Loved the apartment feel with separate bedroom and living room, plus a walk in closet. Some units have 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms providing even more space. The bathroom amenities were a little funky in that there was a bar of soap at the lavatory, but in the shower there was a big dispenser unit for shower gel, shampoo, and conditioner. (I am assuming this is a money saving technique.) Con: units are on the first, second, or third floor with no elevator. So you will be carrying your luggage, your groceries, etc. up the stairs. Also. units are in separate buildings accessed from the exterior - so a little less secure than a hotel. Please note that this place offers "light housekeeping" for stays of less than 7 days. That includes making the bed, changing the towels, and emptying the trash. And NOTHING more! It does not include sweeping, vacuuming, or cleaning the shower. It also does not include replacing the paper towels or toilet paper (though extras are supplied in the cabinets). It does not include replacing the coffee/tea supply or the single bar of soap. The cookware was fairly typical for similar establishments. The dinnerware and silverware was NOT. In a 1-bedroom unit, there were two forks, two plates, and two cups. Having stayed in Residence Inn, Homewood Suites, and Hyatt House, I was expecting the standard set of 4 - but that was not the case here. You can run the dishwashwer every meal - but that's a bit of a pain.

Sonesta ES Suites Perimeter, Atlanta

Posted Oct 2, 2017
Pros: Location; space.
Cons: Better housekeeping, more attention to defects
Well laid out, comfortable and spacious rooms. Well-equipped kitchen. Housekkeping leaves much to be desired : disappointing. Decent enough breakfast and other comfort, like laundry.

Misinformed

Posted Sep 28, 2017
The reason I picked this hotel was due to it advertised an outdoor pool. When we arrived on 9-23-17 I was told the pool closed the day after Labor Day. This was very upsetting due to I was looking forward to be able to relax by the pool. You need to tell future visitors that info when you advertise your pool.

I was so sorry to hear about your disappointment regarding our pool closure - we do our best to advertise our pool as "seasonal" - but I will certainly pass on your comments to the rest of our staff, and do hope that you will visit us again!

FED X Golf

Pros: Inside lobby was very nice. Next time I would stay closer to the front of the suites.
Cons: I think we had a family that lives there and were a little noisy and the outside of their place needs cleaned up.
Location: Very easy to get around in the area
The only thing I could say that could be checked is, We asked for toilet paper three times and never received it. So I had to go down to the front desk and ask. The breakfast was awesome and everyone was so nice. I would stay again.

Roomy, clean, hotel in nice area

Posted Sep 14, 2017
Pros: The suites are wonderful when traveling with family. Two full baths and two bedrooms, plus a kitchen. We had everything we could possibly need.
Cons: Furnishings and décor are a little outdated and plain, as are the bathrooms and kitchen. Lack of elevators is hard when you are on the 3rd floor.
We booked this hotel at the last minute as we were trying to get back to Florida after Hurricane Irma. The staff was incredibly welcoming and nice. We arrived around 10 pm. and left by 5:30 a.m. so we did not get to see anything in the daylight, but the hotel looked very nice. The rooms were nice, all was clean and the suites gave us a lot of room. The furnishings are not updated or fashionable, but they were in good condition and clean. We would definitely stay here again.

Very welcoming staff. We stayed two nights as we evacuate Florida due to Hurricane Irma and passed the Tropical Storm in Atlanta. The staff went above and beyond by providing great breakfast and also an small dinner as the Supermarkets and public transportation and restaurants were closed. The facilities were in great condition in a very safe zone.
