A perfect stay
Just returned from a lovely Hogmanay . Inn was cosy with a relaxed atmosphere. Staff were exceptional and landlady was lovely. Great food and comfy beds, a perfect stay!

Lovely comfortable stay in Bankfoot near Perth
Welcoming host allowed me access slightly early. Beautiful room in an old inn, tastefully decorated, 15 mins by car from the station although I could travel to Bankfoot and back by bus from Mill Street in Perth. My room amply accommodated the large, comfortable bed with cotton sheets and was well-insulated, so the oil-filled radiator quickly heated it up. Bottled water provided each day. Double-glazed window overlooking the attractive, tiered garden at the rear. There was no wardrobe but coat-hooks on the door. Shared bathroom with lovely tiles, modern bath, toilet and sink. Shower worked! There was a separate toilet in the hall, equally well decorated, close to my room. The free WiFi was efficient. Given key to back door in case I came in late. Creaky floorboards not a problem as they added to the character of the Inn. Not in any way a rowdy pub. Sound insulation efficient. Exposed brick walls in the dining room, also tastefully decorated, quickly served, superb, well-cooked breakfast and on Friday I had quite possibly the best fish and chips I’ve ever tasted - beautiful batter. The staff were highly efficient and welcoming.

I had one night stay in a really spacious and relaxing room. My Fish and Chips meal was the best I have tasted in all the hotels I stay with while travelling for work. Staff were very friendly and attentive and I'll certainly stay again taking my wife with me. Very well done!!

What a find! A beautiful Inn with lovely tasteful decor, beautiful big comfy bed, lovely room, fabulous shower and delicious food. The staff were extremely friendly and helpfull. All of this for an incredible price. Thank you for a wonderful stay

Best Hotel in Scotland!!
We stayed on the last leg of our week in Scotland. An absolutely fantastic place to stay, food, drinks and service were excellent. Absolutely 100% recommend! The breakfast is also huge and wonderful!! Will definitely be back.

Superb Inn and Hotel.
Stayed here as part of a trip to the Highlands to break up the long journey. Excellent rooms, great bar to have a drink in and good food for our evening meal. Everyone was lovely, staff and locals included. We were fortunate enough to have booked in on a Wednesday night on our way home and entertained with the open music session that takes place. We loved it and would definitely stay again.

Music to our ears!!
We really enjoyed out stay at the Bankfoot which has undergone a transformation under new owners. The evening meal was good and the icing on the cake was the brilliant folk night in the bar (Wednesday evenings). It is an old coaching house so the walls are not thick and you can hear a lot of what is going on especially if you are right above the bar and facing the high street but certainly worth a visit.

A gem off the A9
Bankfoot is a village on the A9 which has been by-passed. It is therefore quiet and peaceful. It has a bus service and a general store. The Inn offers comfortable rooms, a good menu in the restaurant and excellent service.

There was a warm welcome at The Bankfoot Inn. All the staff were chatty & helpful. Our room was really clean & comfortable. Breakfast & dinner were cooked well & very enjoyable. The inn had a cosy atmosphere, a lovely place to stay.

Lovely welcome. Our room No. 2 was lovely really comfortable bed and the shower was great. Delicious food both the evening meal and breakfast. Thank you to the lovely Cathy foe looking after us. The only negative was that our room was directly over the bar and quite noisy up until 1am. Having said that it was a Friday night maybe a different night may have been less noisy.

Lovely old family run inn with stone walls, open fires, real ale, whisky galore, good food, clean comfortable bedrooms, friendly welcoming staff and a great ambiance in the bar and the town alike. It was the perfecr stop off for us, two middle aged men but with no downstairs toilet facilities for ladies, do not think it would be perfect for all travellers.

The personal touch
The hotel was everything I expected and more. Where possible I avoid staying in hotel chains and the Bankfoot Inn is exactly the reason why; it's a traditional village inn. There was a personal welcome on arrival, excellent home-cooked food, great local beers, a comfortable well-furnished room and an excellent hot shower - just what was required after cycling 80 miles to get there. They even took care of the bikes for us! We took our meals in the bar, complete with open fire and complete absence of the curse of fruit machines and pool tables. It was good to chat with the other guests and staff - much underrated as something to do rather than stare at a TV screen locked in a bedroom. And being in a small town and set amongst fantastic countryside, a quiet night was pretty much guaranteed. All this experience was against a backdrop of a bit of distraction for the hotel, in that they had a TV crew filming there over a couple of days. With all this going on, we were still very well looked after and not ignored.

Comfortable Stay in Beautiful Old Coaching Inn
I very rarely write reviews of places I stay when away working but the Bankfoot Inn is worth making an exception for. This old coaching inn is bursting with character and very well run. Rooms are small, as you would expect from such an old building, but well heated and the beds are very comfortable. Bathrooms are spotless. Both breakfast and dinner were very tasty. The bar prices are very reasonable for a hotel and the lounge bar has a very welcoming feel to it, with a log fire and a very amiable owner pulling the pints.
