3-star motel at 4-star price

Self check-in worked fine, although I'd rather talk to a person. The staff in the bar/restaurant were friendly and helpful. Room was spacious with room for an entire family (it was just me staying there) – probably handy when travelling with groups. Included simple breakfast is probably handy, but I had to depart before it started at 7am.
They know it can be noisy so they provide a little jar full of earplugs. Nice touch, but I'd rather have better insulation between rooms and isolation from street noise (there's a very busy road close by). Onsite parking is available, but it's limited and the carpark at the front of the building is very cramped (the one at the back is better, but not many spaces).
On the whole it was fine, but just seemed expensive for what it offered. I've stayed at more comfortable motels for less money and at better hotels for the same money – but maybe Perth is just expensive.
