THIS PROPERTY IS CLOSED DOWN!!! I have notified Hotels.com and bookings for this property shouldn't be accepted. We have not been aware of this situation and lost several hours looking for other accommodation possibilities in the area of Montepulciano on Easter Friday!

Fantastic setting, beautifully

Posted Aug 21, 2011 on HotelClub
Fantastic setting, beautifully maintained gardens, very nice room and furnishings. Staff and service were excellent. Reception staff were extremely helpful to find a local doctor who made a house call to the hotel to check our son who had a minor issue. We will definitely go back.

Nice garden only.

The environement is great, the garden is magnificent with a mixture of Toscana smells. However the rooms are not sunny and are too dark, the bathroom is too small and there was a continuous leakage of water, the internet does not work properly (unless at the manager office). The breakfast is good if you arrive early because itens are not replaced and you must look after the waiter if you want some coffee. The restaurant is to be avoided because in addition of being extremely expensive for the quality, they replace your order without asking whether do you want potatos instead of asparagus.

A little bit of heaven in the Tuscan/Umbrian countryside

Posted Oct 15, 2009
This was a beautiful spot. We could hardly believe the views, the smells and the sounds of hunters shooting early on Saturday morning. A former monastery, this has been renovated and you really feel away from it all. There is a lovely pool area and a pavilion where weddings are held. Breakfast buffet is beautiful (the bruschetta is a must-have) and I recommend the cappuccino or espresso over American coffee, which was weak. Our room, although charming, was dark and small so that was a minus. So was the fact that our television did not work at all but we were really too tired to try to decipher Italian television. No internet in the room but there is a computer in the office for email checking. The restaurant is open the the public; food was exquisite (though we were not thrilled with the prospect of stuffed duck's necks) and quite pricey. But it's all part of the experience. Would I return? When can I go?

A Beautiful Hotel

Posted Jul 28, 2008
I couldn't recommend this hotel more. It is a blissful respite. The staff were friendly and the gardens stunning. This is clearly a labour of love for the owners. The hotel restaurant was not open when we were there, but the staff directed us to a fantastic place within walking distance. The only negative was that the lunch menu was expensive, not really great value for money.
