Hours of waiting time to check in, booked ahead

Our room was damp and moist and smelled like sewer. They heavily perfumed it to mask it which was just as worse and quickly the perfume (achoo!) subsides and you smell something that is worse than the stinkiest socks. Front desk made us wait for hours during check in as they were understaffed as they said despite booking reservations made months ahead. The pool was filthy, yucky collection around it, so we skipped that after discovered that. Business office is just a desktop computer by the door of the entrance lobby which was very noisy with the traffic and the guests they made wait for check ins. The line ups are long. The gym was made for one person use only. Wifi is slow and very weak when you get a signal. This is a poorly managed motel that needs to train their rude front desk also.

Horrible Motel, Horrible Reception Staff Services

I don't know where to start on our horrible experience with this place. First, we arrived at noon at the hotel to check if our friends have arrived who are also checking in at the same place. They took our names and looked it up in the computer and we're told to come back at 2 pm for earliest check in. We came back at 4 pm and we're made to wait until 6 pm to get our room keys. We booked this place weeks ahead! So fine, we patiently waited two long hours! When we got into our room, it had a very strong air freshener spray. Fine! After the fragrance subsided which we were glad, a rotten smell came overwhelming from the air conditioner. The room itself is in dire need of upgrade: stains, dirt, and broken corners all over the place. So we got a bad room, truly the whole hotel couldn't be that bad until we checked the pool where you can see the black guck around the pool by the water line probably was never cleaned in years. Yeah, free breakfast if you trust what is in them. If they don't care about service and cleanliness, chances are they don't care about hygiene elsewhere so enjoy the free breakfast! Never again. I heard of some decent motels, definitely not this one. Rude reception staff as well as if they are on their period. Have other minor issues with this place (inexistent, slow, and very weak wifi! Unless you get lucky to be assigned beside their router) but they are nothing in comparison to above.

Holiday

Pros: Breakfast was very good and included in the price.
Location: Visited the locks and the canoe museum. Well worth it.
Great holiday overall. Hotel is well situated and staff was very accommodating. Close to all the sites we wanted to visit. Would recommend to anyone who wants to visit the city without spending too much. Good bang for your buck.

say no to marketing fees

breakfast was pretty poor ,this is not a cheaper hotel , don't agree with destination marketing fees, that's the cost of doing business, include in your pricing and stop nickle and diming.
