5/5 Excellent

Unique place to stay
The caboose was very nicely renovated and very clean. A/C unit quickly cooled the space. I was very surprised that the bathroom was so spacious--though I found the handheld shower in the clawfoot tub to be a cumbersome surprise as there was no convenient place for soap or shampoo to sit. I think that a vintage style showerhead support riser with combined shelf would be a welcome addition. I stayed by myself during a work trip in the area. I think this is most suited to no more than two adults and one or two kids. Space is pretty tight, though the narrow beds were comfortable. Small hot water heater would be hard pressed to accommodate more than two quick showers in succession. Neighborhood was very quiet and convenient to downtown.

Charming property/caboose in this lake community
The place was very unique for sure! We didn't know what to expect, but to our surprise, the caboose was put together very nicely! I would definitely like to stay there again next year when I come back to visit.

5/5 Excellent

Kids loved it!
Our daughters could not believe we were staying in the caboose! It was so much fun for them! The caboose was clean, cute, and the location was great. It's a bit on the rustic side, in a way that was not super comfortable for the adults in our party. There were no railings on the beds, which seemed to be narrower than standard twin beds. As such, the adults had to sleep on the top bunk. Luckily we did, as our daughter managed to fall out of the bottom bunk in the middle of the night. PROS: Location Uniqueness Ambiance Excellent A/C and/or cross-breezes CONS: Narrow beds Lack of hooks for towels Small hot water tank Handheld shower I would recommend this as a neat place to stay for one or two nights as a treat for the kids.

5/5 Excellent

The Caboose
Appears to be newly renovated with a full size bathroom. Similar to the "tiny houses" you might see on the HGTV network except for a stove which we didn't need anyway. Walking distance to town and the marinas which I took advantage of with our dog. Bunks were small but authentic and comfortable. Quiet neighborhood oh and off street parking. wouldn't recommend for newly weds.

Great stay, great location!
This was such a cute place to stay! The location was within walking distance of the downtown area, farmer's market, ice cream, etc. Nice side yard with room to play catch with the kids, firepit to use, etc. Just as described. Quiet location too, which was nice.
