Pros: Friendliness of staff
Great location, great staff, great price. Facilities are average but better than what one would expect for the price.

Best Price Hotel in PetraPosted Apr 6, 2015
Pros: Large Room and nice Balcony, very clean!!!
Cons: More Wi-Fi Access especially in the rooms, not just the lobby.
Location: There are several resturants within walking distance and Petra entrance/Visitors center is less than 5 minute walk.
The Hotel is just a couple minutes walk from the Petra Visitors center and entrance to Petra. Very friendly staff and for the price you could not ask for a better room. Some of the more expensive hotels just a little closer to Petra entrance have much smaller rooms.

Great location, okay for the pricePosted Feb 23, 2015 on Hotels
The Petra Palace Hotel is in a great location, within easy walking distance of the entrance to Petra with plenty of shops and restaurants to choose from just outside the door. Overall, this is one of those hotels that was probably quite something in its day, but clearly could do with a spiff up now. I'd happily stay there again for the price I paid, but it is a little tired at this point. There are even closer and nicer hotels, if you want to pay for them, but the Petra Palace was spacious, clean and with operating air conditioning. If that is what you need, I'm not sure I'd pay more. Petra itself is spectacular and well worth at least a couple of days.

Older Hotel with no in room WifiPosted Jan 8, 2015
Pros: Staff and Breakfast
Cons: Wifi in the rooms and restaurant.
Location: This hotel is 3 minutes walk to Petra. An amazing place you must visit at least once in your life.
Nice staff, clean and comfortable. Wifi only available in the lobby and lobby was cold and not very inviting. Otherwise a great place to stay. Breakfast was included and was a very good buffet.

Best option in Wadi RumPosted Jan 1, 2015
Pros: Friendly efficient staff
Cons: Breakfast menu
Location: Stone throw distance from the visitor's centre, lovely souveniers and restaurants nearby
Petra palace is very conveniently located close to the visitor's centre in Wadi rum. This can be a real plus if you are undertaking an ardous trek in Petra during the day. There is no WiFi in rooms and you need to frequent the lobby each time you need to access your facebook / news page. The only English channels available are CNN, BBC and a movie channel. The swimming pool is okay to relax but not a very value added option in Winter. The breakfast menu is really basic - we had the same menu on all the days we stayed at the Petra Palace. The hotel staff are really helpful and guide you to various tourist spots. The rates are value for money and much preferred to other ones that are very far off from the visitor's centre. The only ATM machine in the lane is inside the Move-n-pick hotel which is close to Petra palace The rooms can seem a bit dark and the lift does creak and needs maintenance but that's ok for the price you pay

Great locationPosted Nov 3, 2014
Pros: The location, the pools, the bar.
Cons: Breakfast wasn't great - no toast making facilities and virtually no staff present to clear and reset tables.
Location: Location is ideal both for visitng Petra and for going out for a meal in the evening.
Nice comfortable hotel situated within walking distance of the main entrance to Petra. Good size, comfortable rooms and the hotel bar serves alcohol. The hotel is not smart (could do with a facelift) but the pools are great for cooling off after a day of sightseeing. We are a family of 5 and had two connecting rooms which is always convenient.
