Older Hotel with no in room Wifi

Posted Jan 8, 2015
Pros: Staff and Breakfast
Cons: Wifi in the rooms and restaurant.
Location: This hotel is 3 minutes walk to Petra. An amazing place you must visit at least once in your life.
Nice staff, clean and comfortable. Wifi only available in the lobby and lobby was cold and not very inviting. Otherwise a great place to stay. Breakfast was included and was a very good buffet.

Best option in Wadi Rum

Posted Jan 1, 2015
Pros: Friendly efficient staff
Cons: Breakfast menu
Location: Stone throw distance from the visitor's centre, lovely souveniers and restaurants nearby
Petra palace is very conveniently located close to the visitor's centre in Wadi rum. This can be a real plus if you are undertaking an ardous trek in Petra during the day. There is no WiFi in rooms and you need to frequent the lobby each time you need to access your facebook / news page. The only English channels available are CNN, BBC and a movie channel. The swimming pool is okay to relax but not a very value added option in Winter. The breakfast menu is really basic - we had the same menu on all the days we stayed at the Petra Palace. The hotel staff are really helpful and guide you to various tourist spots. The rates are value for money and much preferred to other ones that are very far off from the visitor's centre. The only ATM machine in the lane is inside the Move-n-pick hotel which is close to Petra palace The rooms can seem a bit dark and the lift does creak and needs maintenance but that's ok for the price you pay

Great location

Posted Nov 3, 2014
Pros: The location, the pools, the bar.
Cons: Breakfast wasn't great - no toast making facilities and virtually no staff present to clear and reset tables.
Location: Location is ideal both for visitng Petra and for going out for a meal in the evening.
Nice comfortable hotel situated within walking distance of the main entrance to Petra. Good size, comfortable rooms and the hotel bar serves alcohol. The hotel is not smart (could do with a facelift) but the pools are great for cooling off after a day of sightseeing. We are a family of 5 and had two connecting rooms which is always convenient.

Location: Many restaurants, convenience stores, gift shops are all along street
Basic minimum standards for reasonable price. Hotel has small pool.

Easy walk to Petra.

Posted May 4, 2014
Pros: Friendly staff.
Cons: The bathroom facilities. The bathtub drained onto the bathroom floor through the clean out in the drain line.
Location: Petra! Enough said.
The hotel has some issues, mostly due to age. But it's was pleasant and I would stay there again.

Clean hotel, great location for Petra

Posted Apr 8, 2014
The hotel was very clean and in an excellent location, just two minutes' walk from the entrance to Petra. We had a room with doors opening out onto the sunny, clean pool area. I could cope with the rather tired decor, however the breakfast was very poor - all breads and pastries were rock hard and the hot food, such as scrambled eggs, was not very tasty.

- Hotel staff were helpful and friendly - Room was ok, fine for what we needed on a one night stay - Pool looked nice but was too cold when we were there (end of March) - Free breakfast was big and very good
