Incredible value except for itchy sheetsPosted Oct 5, 2015
Pros: Microwave and fridge Pleasantly decorated Free Fast wifi Free airport shuttle
Cons: New bedding should be purchased Check in/out persin should be willing to assist with luggage
Don't think there were bed bugs but almost felt like dust mites or something. The quilts felt like they aren't washed regularly. Absolutely beautifully decorated and comes with a humongous powerful fridge and a microwave! First hotel I've ever seen with a microwave and I LOVED that part. Be sure to be assertive and request the rooms with two beds if you paid for it here on expedia as they will ask if they can knock you down to one when you check in. Especially with the bedding issue it would've been nice to switch beds and see if it would help. A little less of a gamble. Expect to need to haul your luggage up a flight of stairs as there are no elevators. Breakfast is from 6-10 and you can have either pancakes or cold cereal. Didn't look that great so I skipped it. Nice desk and high speed wifi. Airport shuttle leaves next door promptly on every half hour. Takes 15 min to get to airport. Super convenient. Use a debit card instead of credit card when you sign in so there isn't a large hold placed on your card as it is really inconvenient. All in all I would still come back as it is definitely one if the cheapest places around.

Reminds one of the movie PsychoPosted Sep 19, 2015
Pros: The manager was cordial.
Cons: The sense of security was extremely low. I used all locks on the door. There should be a 24-hour staffed desk and an elevator.
Location: The location is poor - it faces a waterfront with a decrepit wharf.
Note to traveler: this hotel is apparently a temporary residence for indigent people. I arrived late (between 12:30-1:00 am) and while a late pickup from the airport was no problem, the hotel's office was closed and it was necessary to obtain the key card from the hotel next door. Once at the hotel, no one was available on the premises to help with anything. There was no elevator so I had to carry my luggage to the 2nd floor. While trying to locate my room (these were individual units accessed from an outdoor corridor), I noticed all rooms were unlit but some had worn down shoes placed outside the doors. My room was farthest from and out of view from the hotel where I picked up my key card, which was unsettling. The room was musty (e.g. stale but washed towels, old but unopened soap, ancient shampoo). I became apprehensive of the silence so I picked up the phone to ask any question, such as, is there an elevator? but there was no ring tone. In need of a shower, I was too frightened to take one and decided to wait until daylight. In the morning the office was open. The advertised breakfast consisted of coffee, apples, muffins etc. in the small office, where it could be eaten in a limited space. I took mine back to my room and on the way noticed several residents who had come out of their rooms and who clearly were not travelers; they apparently were temporary residents. Certainly no harm there, but it was just very weird.

Hey, it's on the water..but cheapPosted Sep 14, 2015
Pros: Proximity to water. The staff. The price.
Cons: Updated and modernized. New appliances.
Location: There was a nice park next door and a bar/banquet hall that provided entertainment the weekend we stayed there. It's near the airport.
This was an OK hotel. It was cheap, so you get what you expect for the money. It's stuck between a Holiday Inn Express and a banquet facility, so you might not find it if you don't know where it's at, but it is right on the water. The rooms are old, the fridge and remote control didn't work, but overall, it was clean enough that I felt comfortable. Noise wasn't a problem, and we enjoyed our two nights in the room. The staff were friendly, and the office, although small, did provide a small continental breakfast.

Pros: I really liked the bathroom and the view that I had.
Cons: Maybe getting an Ice machine for the residents there. We had to walk to the connecting hotel just to get ice and to the vending machine.
Location: Local restaurant and bar and the airport was only 5 mins away. That was convient.
Hotel was what I was expecting nothing more than the 2 star quality. It was clean and I liked the bathrooms suprinsingly. I loved the view from the hotel. Nice lake, not sure what lake it was but it was nice. When I walked out my room there was a restaurant downstairs and 2 bars. I really enjoyed that it was convienct and there was free shuttle to and from the airport which I was surpised by. Loved that. Overall if I go back I will be staying there.

OK in a pinch.Posted Sep 10, 2015
A little bit shabby and a little more than I should have spent for what I got but I needed to sleep close to the airport and it served that purpose. Excellent view of the Delaware River. Food left in fridge, dripping faucet, and uncooperative TV remote.

Owners and staff should get six stars!Posted Sep 7, 2015
Pros: The people who operate it, cream cheese for the bagels at breakfast, the proximity of I-95, lovely breezes coming off the water. The room rates.
Cons: It might help if the stairs by the office had treads painted a light color instead of black.
Location: Romano's Pizza just a couple of blocks up the street has decent sandwiches, and fun wall-news.
This is not a luxury hotel, but I wasn't looking for one. I wanted an inexpensive place to sleep with free parking and easy access to downtown Philadelphia, and the Airport/waterfront was a perfect answer. So ... the less than perfect things: (1) hotel windows don't open, so it was rather musty-smelling when one opened the door. The room was as clean as it could be made without a good airing out, so no demerits to the housekeepers -- it's just the way hotels are going these days, alas! (2) Had no rooms been available on the quiet side, the musical efforts from the terrace bar would have made sleep impossible -- not just the noise level, but the mutilated track re-arrangements ... somebody ought to revoke the dj's artistic license. (3) The metal/concrete run of steps from the office to the second level is dicey; the concrete is rough at the edges and the risers seem a little higher than normal, which makes for uncertain footing on a descent.

Pretty run-down, but great viewPosted Sep 3, 2015
Cons: Cleanliness. Breakfast area only seats a few staring out the window in the office. Sorta weird.
Hotel needs a deep clean, spider-webs and stuff in the common areas, dirty. Was really hard to find the lobby - you need to put a sign up. Room was pretty beat-up, office chair and flooring mostly. Saw a mouse running thru the room, think it came from the plumbing access door. Found a woman's shoe under the bed. Nice view of the river, however, and nice bar just below-pretty quiet the night we were there but I be the music gets loud. Ok hotel for the price.

Nice view hotel, very privatePosted Sep 2, 2015
Pros: The view in tha back.
Cons: The breakfast!!!
Even though some of our appliances did not work in the beginning, the staff made everything they could to fix everything right away. This is a one night stay place, but definitely I recommend it.

Clean and economicalPosted Aug 31, 2015
Pros: The check in and check out staff was friendly.
Cons: Not sure what recourses this hotel would have to prevent for the next door bar to play the loud music in the backyard of the bar... :(
Location: Not sure what is near by...went there to attend the Wells Fargo Center, Women's Conference; the location and price were very convenience.
The location of the hotel by the waterfront and the price overnight was reasonable. Unfortunately, we stayed on a Friday night...there is a bar right next to the hotel that brings music outside on the weekends; people singing karaoke and playing very loud music with a DJ; thankfully, there was only one night stay...unable to sleep for the night.
