Right Next to City Hall

Posted Apr 13, 2017
Pros: Convenient. Small store at front desk for necessities, water, ice cream (!), bar and coffee & restaurant in the lobby. Fitness room.
Cons: Rooms - especially carpeting - feel tired. Either need a deep clean or a replacement.
Location: Right in the center of Center City. Could not be better - everything in easy walking distance. Paid for in and out parking, but never used my car.
I LOVE this building - used to be the old City Hall Annex. So so so convenient.

Great location!

Posted Mar 25, 2017
Great place for a short stay, the hotel's rooms have been renovated, bathrooms are big and modern. The location can't be beaten, walking distance to the reading market, convention center, restaurants and shops, the city hall, liberty bell and other historic buildings are also within a walking distance. Very easy to reach the hotel from the airport by train.

Broken

Vent grill fell off the wall, shower head fell off in middle of shower, television remote didn't work, elevator out of service making long wait for single other operating one.

Nice hotel, close to everything in Center City

Posted Feb 15, 2017
Pros: The friendly, courteous staff. Spacious, relaxing room. Location!
Location: Location is the top rated item about this hotel. City Hall, Dilworth Park, Reading Terminal Market, Public Transportation, Restaurants, Shopping
We had a wonderful time at this hotel, starting at check in. The clerk was very courteous, informative and accommodating. We reserved two rooms, a double bedroom for two teens and a King suite for the adults. Rooms were clean, spacious, exceeded our expectations. The King suite was more than enough room to feel comfortable and relaxed. Safety was not a concern as the key card was required to use the elevators at all times, and required to re-enter the hotel after dark. All staff we encountered were courteous, including front desk, janitorial, housekeeping, security, and restaurant staff. Breakfast buffet will cost about $25 per person, its okay if you want something quick and easy, but for the price, not really worth it. We did not eat dinner onsite, so I cannot vouch for the food quality, etc. Starbucks onsite was a plus, especially since we stayed in winter-time and the weather was cold and rainy. For visitors to the city, you can step out the front or back door to start your Philadelphia experience. The front door leads directly to City Hall, Dilworth Park and the famous LOVE statue, and the subway system (which I thought was more confusing to use than any other subway/trolley/city system I've ever encountered). Out the back door, you can catch the city tour hop on/hop off bus, several restaurants, and the Reading Terminal Market, which is a must see. If you need a taxi, there were always 5 lined up near the back door at the adjacent Marriott hotel.

Noisy, not a good night's rest

Posted Feb 6, 2017
Pros: location
Cons: Soundproofing!!!!
Had a room on the second floor near some mechanical unit that buzzed and hummed non-stop. Soundproofing is none. People in the room next door partied from 3:30 am to 5. Needless to stay I was unable to get any sort of decent sleep.

Overall my stay was amazing, however I'm very big on bathroom cleanliness, and the shower curtain was a bit dirty.
