Lumpy mattress

Cons: Mattresses and bedding.
Mattress was lumpy. Not worth the money. The bedding was very low quality. I didn't sleep well and I was exhausted.

Avoid the restaurant!

The hotel was fine, however, the restaurant on the first floor needs a visit by the Pennslyvania Board of Health. One morning at breakfast, I was served toast with MOLD on it! After receiving a half-hearted apology from the cook, I paid and promptly left the restaurant.

Nice hotel under construction.

It was a beautiful hotel and very clean. Only problem my girlfriend and I encountered was that the hotel was under construction and it wasn't anywhere on the site to let you know before hand and we were excited because of their in door pool which was also under construction which would have been nice to know before we booked the stay. Other then that it was a nice stay.

Pros: Not much. The bed was decent.
Cons: The hotel needs extensive renovation, or better still, demolition and rebuilding.
Location: A business district with three mediocre chain restaurants nearby. Not a decent restaurant within walking distance, according to staff.
Checking in was pleasant. The hotel is very worn, and in need of restoration/demolishing/rebuilding. Our room had a stale tobacco stench along with that of the odor masking chemical used. All was (it seems) at least 30 years old, including an obsolete TV set and program selection. The price was about three times too high for the accommodation quality. Breakfast was decent, but not something to write home about. This was the first and last stay at a Crow Suites hotel for us.

DO NOT STAY AT THE CROWN PLAZA PHILA. W

Pros: Location; Ample towels in bathroom.
Cons: Staff Attitudes! More staff; Cleanliness; Bathroom amenities/accouterments; Brighter bathroom light; Refreshing/Painting the guest room doors;
Location: Great location for getting on and off the Expressway; Saks Fifth Avenue just up the street and shopping center just five minutes away.
We pre-paid top, top dollar (as much as we pay at NYC fine hotels) for what should be a low priced hotel in suburban Philly. No doorman nor bellman to help with luggage; Filthy entryway with smelly cigar butt and cigarette butts. Was told by a rude and snarky front desk attendant that it is a smoke free hotel and smokers use the outside front area. We scrambled around for a luggage cart in the hotel lobby and took in our own luggage (5 pieces). I asked for help with luggage and was told that, "we are in a shift switch," and there was no bellman! Was later told that the bellman and doorman were one in the same and that he had left for the day (It was 2:00pm)! Paying outrageous amount for this hotel was ludicrous...BUYER BEWARE! When I questioned the rate that we paid after commenting about the lack of a doorman, the sour and sarcastic young woman told me that rates go up during busy times. I suppose it wasn't busy enough to warrant a full-time bellman or doorman. Hallways were shabby and the doors to the rooms were filthy. Room was quiet but the carpet needed a good scrubbing. The utilitarian bathroom appointments were awful: no q-tips, no water glasses, no cotton balls, etc.But, there were ample towels for 2 people. The bathroom mirror frame was badly scratched, and the lighting was very poor. Had to use overhead heater for light. This was a poor experience and a monumental rip off. We should get our money back! Expedia should not be recommending this hotel.

While the hotel was almost full we had a very quiet afternoon, and while we did have our morning bellman leave a little early we always have other staff on property, such as our engineering team, who have been trained in assisting with luggage and are ready to help. We did also have our bellman for the evening arrive shortly after you checked in. We will certainly be reviewing our schedules based on your feedback. We have also addressed the service concerns you mentioned in regards to our Front Desk team. We pride ourselves on a team who truly cares about our guests' experiences, and anything less is unacceptable. We did truly want to help you enjoy your stay after your rough check-in experience. As you mentioned that this is not the type of hotel you are accustomed to, we wanted to do everything in our power to satisfy you even if that required assisting you in finding something better suited to your needs. Our team was aware of your concerns, and was ready to assist in any way possible. We are happy to share that we have just begun an entire property renovation. We are looking forward to having a brand new property for our guests to enjoy, and we hope you will reconsider visiting us again when our renovations are completed.

Nice quiet stay

Stay was quiet and relaxing. No pool access due to renovations.should have notified web sites to pass onto customers. Staff was always helpful
