hotel was fine

Posted Aug 22, 2016
Pros: refund our money.
Cons: apology but they did not
The Hotel was fine, clean, but the noise at night and people yelling and running through the halls was very annoying. Also they had a complimentary breakfast set up, but after you served yourself and ate they then told you it was not for everyone and charged you $15.00 per plate, it was not worth it at all. When complained about it they said well it did not come with your room, but it was not posted anywhere and you could never tell that it was not for everyone.

Disappointed, to say the least

Posted Jul 27, 2016
Pros: Nothing.
Cons: If Expedia would have offered to take $25 off that night would have been more acceptable. If the hotel offered something besides gym passes.
Hotel was under TOTAL reconstruction -- not stated in Expedia ad. Required to enter hotel through back door. Front entrance and front parking lot were closed. Pool was closed. Lobby and Pool were under reconstruction -- wall of breaker boxes were exposed, even the elevators were padded. I contacted Expedia as soon as we checked in to document my concerns. Expedia personnel stated that they were not aware that the hotel was under reconstruction. I was placed on hold while they confirmed my concerns with the hotel. Expedia offered for us to change hotels. It was late in the day and we were traveling with a child and mother-in-law and did not want to change hotels. Crowne Plaza offered 4 passes to the local L.A. Fitness as an apology? Again, it was late and our family didn't want passes to a fitness center -- where most likely kids were not permitted anyway. Expedia offered to take $25 off our next stay. Construction workers were on the job the next morning at 6:00 am. Didn't really feel that neither the hotel nor Expedia wanted to make that reservation correct. Following my call, I had to call 3 times to request the appropriate amount of towels for our room. Also had to call for assistance as the TV was off-line. I will not recommend this hotel. For the remainder of our trip, I booked directly with the specific hotels avoiding Expedia. Very disappointing.

Nice stay despite ongoing renovations

Posted Jul 15, 2016
Pros: Great rooms
Location: Lots of business within walking distance. If I could throw, I could have hit the Target with a rock from the parking lot.
When we checked in the lobby was in disarray as the hotel was finishing renovations. The check in station was a temporary set-up and the lobby was devoid of any furnishings. Despite this we were able to check-in quickly and get to our room with no trouble. The fire alarm panels for the elevator had been taped to the walls. They were still functioning and is to be expected during renovations. I can see how this would have concerned people not familiar with construction practices. After getting to the second floor the renovations were apparent. The hotel had new carpeting, wallpaper and decorations. The hotel room itself was small but extremely comfortable. my sister and I debated trying to steal the mattresses and pillows. Unfortunately, neither of us look good in orange so we refrained. The room was a good size for two people and had everything we needed including a fridge in the cabinet. The water pressure was AMAZING though the bathroom would get very steamy. The only downside was that your roomie could hear EVERYTHING you were doing in the bathroom. I had to play music during my morning poo. The plumbing would occasionally make noise. I don't think I've ever stayed in a hotel that didn't have issues with hearing water running through the pipes. The AC was amazing after being outside in 90 degree heat all day. It could be a bit noisy, but again, nothing I haven't seen in almost every hotel I've stayed in. Overall great stay

Disaster while under renovation

Posted Jun 19, 2016
This hotel should not be open. Everything is under renovation. We were literally covered in dust while they installed drywall waiting for the elevator.

Excellent hotel and staff despite renovations

Posted May 31, 2016 on Hotels
The hotel is under renovation, but my boyfriend and I had a wonderful time. The staff was very friendly and the shuttle driver was especially great. We were halfway to our destination when we realized we left something we needed at the hotel and the driver turned around and took us back to get it. The shuttle dropped us off wherever we asked them to. The room was comfortable and clean. Definitely one of the best hotels I've ever stayed at. The breakfast was quite good as well.

It's just ok!

Hotel renovations are going on, but not a big deal. Should still maintain cleanliness in public areas and provide better customer service for the enormous amount I paid. I don't mind paying for a great quality hotel and this hotel needs training.
