Worst stay ever

Posted Dec 26, 2015
Room carpet was filthy and the room smelled, there's a vent in the bathroom that was packed full, there was hair in the bathtub. Overall it was awful and I will never stay there again

ROACH!!!

Posted Dec 18, 2015
Curly hairs on the blanket. Broken furniture. Dirty carpet. Baby roach crawls by while I'm using the bathroom. This experience has convinced me to NEVER stay in any hotel where the rooms cost less than $100. It's just not worth it!

Simple but effective, although not near airport

Posted Dec 8, 2015
The room wasn't fancy, but it was clean and a good place to stay for a couple of nights while visiting a friend. I found it quiet. The beds were firm. Plenty of pillows. The heating worked very well (it was December). The free Wi-Fi in the room worked well and fast. The hot water was only warm on the Saturday night at 11:30 pm, although it was great the previous night. Not sure what happened, but it wasn't a big deal. I couldn't change channels on the TV, but I wasn't there to watch TV so it didn't matter. Despite the name, the hotel is about a 20-minute drive from the airport, but there's a shuttle van. It's located in the suburb of Chester, which my friend described as one of the bad parts of Philadelphia. However, the hotel is right next to Widener University so the neighbourhood seemed fine to us. They are repainting the exterior, which means they're trying to keep the place in decent shape. For the price, it's a good deal for sure.

Neighborhood is not safe ( frequent police visits

Posted Dec 5, 2015
The hotel service is well. Some.of the staff are nice, others are not. Transportation.is easy and accessible. The room.is condition is fair and the building needs maintainance. There has been repeated problems.in the toilet sink. Internet connection is good. The police visits to the neighborhood are frequent (everyday) and many of the neighbors warned me to go out alone because it is not safe.

I did not feel safe at your hotel!

It was a terrible experience! I did not feel safe at your hotel location. Actually, I left your hotel and checked into another hotel because I did not feel safe!

Filthy

Posted Nov 23, 2015
Pros: absolutely nothing
Cons: see above
I stayed at Days Inn the night before the Philadelphia Marathon, in which I participated. First, I asked if late checkout was a possibility -- only an hour, so I could return to the hotel to shower before driving back to DC. I was told no initially, that was too much time. Then I was told that I could have an extra half-hour after checkout for an additional $20. I'm glad I didn't pay it. The strong smell of urine slapped me in the face when I entered the room. The bed sheets were old, worn and stained. I found cheese curls in the armchair cushions, and the television reception was snowy, despite the provider being cable, which I found odd. While I searched for a reasonably priced hotel near the airport and didn't expect the Ritz Carlton, I don't think basic cleanliness is too much to ask for a $75/night stay. Or maybe it is. In any case, it will be a cold day in hell before I patronize Days Inn again.

Horrible hotel near airport

Posted Nov 8, 2015
The refrigerator was dirty, smelled and did not work. Dirty towels and wash cloths (there were literally dirt stains on the wash cloths). Bathroom light barely worked. The room itself did not seem cleaned: dirty windows, dirty ironing board, dirty air conditioner, dirty carpet etc. The cleanliness of this Days Inn hotel was far less cleanly then over 10 hotels and a motel that I've stayed in in the past 3 years. I will NOT be returning to that establishment EVER and will refrain others from that specific Days Inn.

Would not refund

Posted Nov 2, 2015
I accidentally purchased this room for the wrong days. They would not let me change or cancel booking. I called weeks in advance and they would not return my calls or would the management.

YA GETS WHAT YA PAY FOR

Posted Oct 27, 2015
Cons: COURTSEY
Location: NOTHING
IT IS A VERY OLD HOTEL THAT THEY KEEP UP OK, MY PROBLEM WAS THAT WE MUST CHECK OUT AT 12PM REGARDLESS THAT WE HAD A 645 PM FLIGHT, AND A LATER CHECKOUT WOULD HELP, BUT THEY INSISTED IN 12PM. WE CHECKED IN 8 HOURS LATER THAN THE POSTED 1PM TIME. WE ALL KNOW THAT THERE IS NO WAY ALL ROOMS HAVE BEEN CLEANED BY HOUSEKEEPING BY 1PM. THIS IS WHERE COURTESY COULD HAVE GONE A LONG WAY. RECOMMEND THIS HOTEL...NOT BY ME!
