Great location!

Posted Mar 20, 2017
Pros: Location!
Cons: Cleanliness of bathroom.
Location: Chinatown, Hard Rock Cafe, and historic sights.
This hotel DOES NOT have on site parking!!! It states in their description that parking is $20 a day but that is a private off site garage that can charge whatever they want depending on local demand. Located right across the street to the convention center, historic areas and Chinatown, hotel location is wonderful. If you don't have a car to park, location is great. I ended up paying $22 a day through the City of Philadelphia public parking garage with no in and out privileges. There is a parking lot located at the end of the block but it was $36 a day. Overall quiet stay. We were comfortable but I think I'd rather stay at a hotel with shuttle service to the airport and not drive next time.

Friendly staff. But did not come to clean the room frequently. Near Chinatown, plenty of food.

Decent

Posted Mar 15, 2017
Pros: Great shower, warm place, amazing employees
Cons: Cleaning of bed sheets
Location: ChinaTown - Sakuza, Terakawa, Bonchon
Everything about the hotel was great. It was near china town, the employees were amazing and it was very comfortable. The only problem was what I believed was bed bugs. I only stayed one night and I had several swollen bug bites on my right arm the next day. I would consider living there again but I would hope for more rigorous cleaning of bed sheets.

No heat

Posted Mar 15, 2017
The room that I checked in had a window facing into the hallway and a sink outside of the bathroom. It definitely had a different interior than the typical hotels but that wasn't much of an issue. My main issue was the no heat. The Philly weather was at its 30s and I adjusted the thermostat to the max of 80 degrees but it was still freezing in the room.

Great staff and service, thin walls

Posted Mar 14, 2017
Front desk and general staff were very friendly and accommodating. The room was small, not a big deal, but it was chilly and only a thin sheet blanket was on the bed. Had to request another blanket. People in the halls were very loud, could hear other rooms tvs, and phone alarms going off for hours in the morning. Stayed at the hotel for the yearly Flower Show, probably wouldn't stay here again unless it was convenient to my trip.

Located directly next door to a homeless shelter.

Nightmare. A horrible experience as the entrance to the hotel had all forms of vagrants and drug addicts and overall a frightening population loitering at the entrance. The staff booked us in a room adjacent to - sharing a door with a couple of junkies who were screaming and yelling profanities and vulgar exchanges. It was too late in the evening to get another hotel. We changed rooms. Restless night of worry...no sleep. Checked out next morning and got to our car , thankfully, safely, which was not onsite parking and more expensive than what was quoted. We did get to our destination safely but not without having to weave our way out the front door of the hotel around people sleeping on the streets and also being harassed for money and cigarettes. It was an abysmal experience. We needed to be at a nearby hospital very early. This Days Inn is located in a very dangerous neighborhood and I don't think anybody in their right mind wants to be accosted by drug addicts and vagrants as they are entering and exiting their hotel.

Stayed there to be near Hahnemann Hospital

As an older female, felt that an escort, or a ride to the door was wise after dark. Room was clean and fine. Breakfast room was in the basement and was minimal. Front desk very helpful, but would choose elsewhere next time.

The price was comfortable however it was smelly, and the heat shutdown which made it a bit chilly.
