This hotel is old, shabby and needs an update. I have been coming here for an annual conference for over 10 years, and after a few years' hiatus it's worse than ever. They haven't done anything. Furniture is shabby, rooms have many flaws, and the walls are paper thin. Lighting is terrible and the charging ports in our room were hit or miss. The public bathrooms had broken paper towel dispensers and the toilet seats were yellowed and stained.
Our room had rust stains on the floor behind the toilet, nicks and stains on the vanity, and a hole in the carpet in the living room. Most of the charging ports were installed a long time ago and aren't working.
The area around the hotel is rather desolate. There's other hotels and the only restaurant is Ruby Tuesday's, so you'll have to order or drive to get something good. The streets in the hotel complex are filthy with litter and there are extremely large potholes.
The hotel charges 25 a day for parking. I was told that it was prepaid with my Expedia reservation. The desk attendant told me that yes, parking was covered. After I checked out I received a charge for 36.75, and since I was still on site I went to ask about it. They said that they don't honor the free parking that was listed, and they charged me 15 a day instead of 25, plus tax.
The free breakfast has gone down in quality as well, and the plethora of styrofoam plates instead of reusable dinnerware is irresponsible.
