Nice hotel, sketchy areaPosted Apr 13, 2017
I stayed at this hotel on a recent short trip to Philadelphia. Although the hotel accommodations and room were pretty nice, the surrounding area was a bit dirty. My two teenaged boys didn't want to walk in the area at night! I wish there would have been more of a warning about that before we booked. It is pretty close to area attractions- Independence Hall, Liberty Bell, etc.

Reading Terminal around the corner in China-TownPosted Feb 3, 2017
Pros: Parking Garage, Indoor Pool, Bar Upstairs, Friendly Staff
Cons: Pillows :(
Location: Reading Term Market, Bar-ly, Shopping on Market and Chestnut, Love Park, and Liberty Bell
When most people think of Philly, they think of all the negative things and sterotypes about the town. But believe me this hotel proves them wrong. First of all, the staff is by far the friendliest and most helpful staff I just about have ever encountered. The hotel is within walking distance from the Reading Term Market, it's about a 30 second walk. It is easy to get around from the hotel and 2 blocks away from shopping on Market and Chestnut. The front desk recommended the bar, Bar-Ly, it is located across the street and is a fantastic place to eat and drink. The bar tender Kurtis is a wizard of mixing drinks. The only thing I really didn't like about the hotel was the pillows on the bed were terrible. But otherwise everything was up to date and clean.

Across the street from the convention centerPosted Feb 1, 2017
Cons: Reduce the parking rates, heat the pool area to a comfortable temperature.
Location: Reading Terminal Mkt., Convention Center
This hotel has a very good location if you have business at the Phila. Convention Center. The parking garage is attached and convenient although the price of $34. is in addition to the room rate. The restaurant serves a good breakfast buffet which includes omletes and fruit. The pool and workout room is small and the pool area has few chairs which didn't really matter since it was freezing in there. Unless you are in the hot tub, plan on a sweat suit, hat and gloves if you plan on relaxing by the indoor pool.

Convenient to work site.Posted Jan 23, 2017
Pros: Convenient to work
Location: Near train stop - easy to get to airport.
This hotel is located in downtown Philly and adjacent to the Jefferson train stop. It's the perfect place for me to stay when working for the City. Staff are always friendly, food is good and it is convenient to other shops and restaurants.

Perfect locationPosted Jan 22, 2017
Pros: Perfect location
The hotel has a perfect location, less than 5 minutes walk to bus station, chinatown and reading terminal market. The facilities include fridge, microwave and coffee machine. Overall, facilities are kind of out-dated, but it doesn't affect use.

Fun stayPosted Jan 16, 2017 on Hotels
Great stay. Staff was friendly and the breakfast was very good. Only issue is there is a lot of hallway noise in your room.
