Great hotel, close to historical sights

Posted Mar 26, 2017
Pros: Location, staff, cleanliness and decor
Cons: Mattresses a tad uncomrotable
Location: All historical sites within a very short walk.
My family of four was visiting Philadelphia to visit colleges in the area. We have two teenagers and we all shared a large Park view room with 2 queen beds. The Hotel could not be situated any better to to see historical Philadelphia and it is a nice walk to Rittenberg square and other downtown sights. The rooms were clean, the staff was extremely friendly and the hotel has a cool vibe with lots going on. Minor complaint regarding the mattresses being a little uncomfortable, but otherwise a great experience. We used the restaurant for breakfast only and it was wonderful. Loved the complimentary wine each evening.

Boutique shouldn't mean closet size ROOM!

Posted Mar 7, 2017
Pros: Some of the decor was fun and the materials were nice to be surrounded with. However often the decor went over the edge of good design.
Location: The Red Owl Bar was very nice on Sunday...otherwise so crowded you can't get to the bar.
The room we were given would have been ridiculous for one person let alone two! The staff said all the rooms in the hotel were that size because it was a boutique hotel!! I paid more to stay there because I wanted something special. Instead it was a very uncomfortable two night stay!

Comfy room, well appointed. Very pleased.

Posted Feb 15, 2017
Pros: Decor is amazing - and I mean every corner, nook and cranny of the building - just beautiful!
Cons: No in-room coffee maker is a drag. We had just come from another Kimpton hotel where the bed was more plush and warm. Covers are too short to reach.
Location: Close to all the old city attractions: Liberty Bell, US Mint, Independence Hall, Ben Franklin grave, Constitution Center, etc.
Great location if you want to be near the Old City attractions in Philadelphia. Rooms offer great views. Lobby is inviting.

Thank you for your wonderful feedback. We will take the good with the bad any day. It is the only way to improve. The next time you join us just let the front desk know you would like a coffee maker in your room and we can have a Keurig Coffee Maker sent your way.

Lovely hotel close to historic buildings.

Lovely hotel in old town but very little else around the area to interest a family with teenage kids. My bathroom had a musty smell which was unfortunate as rest of room and comfort was great.

The history surrounding our building is immense. Independence Hall, the Liberty Bell and the American Jewish History Museum are all right next door. We are literally surrounded by history. The area even has mini golf just a short walk away. My favorite is the view from Penns Landing. We hope you and your family will join us again soon and see what else Philly and the Hotel Monaco has to offer.

Nice hotel, centrally located

Posted Feb 7, 2017
Pros: Bathrobes!
Cons: The only thing weird about our room was the shower. It has a glass partition, and it is too short. Every time you take a shower the floor gets soaked.
Location: Easy to walk everywhere: art galleries on 2nd, Independence Hall right around the corner, river a short walk away.
We stayed here for three nights while visiting Philadelphia (for pleasure.)

We do love our bathrobes, inspired by our very own Philly boxer, Rocky! I do apologize about the shower and water issue. We are working with engineering to find a solution to this problem as quickly as we can. Join us again soon. Cheers, James

Central location for Philadelphia tourism

Posted Feb 6, 2017
Pros: Central location, interesting and modern decoration, easy check in and check out process.
Cons: Our room was noisy at times during the day as we were located close to the elevator. Accessing the wi-fi is a lengthy and complicated process.
Location: We went to the Liberty Bell, walked to the Philadelphia "Gayborhood", went to the Museum of American Jewish History.
This hotel is in the perfect location for visiting the Liberty Bell and many other local museums and landmarks. It is clean and modern with nice touches throughout.

Aimee, thank you for joining us at the Hotel Monaco. Bostonian's in Philly! I hope you enjoyed your trip and we would love to have you back again soon. I am sorry about the noise. We would be more than happy to accommodate a room that is further down the hall the next time you visit. All the best, James.
