Great staff, nice location, lots to do

Posted Aug 25, 2016
Pros: Great staff, free wine in the lobby from 5-6 pm, loaner bike for your use, free WiFi if you join their rewards program.
Cons: Nada
Location: A few blocks from Rittenhouse Square (a Pokemon Go hotspot), near to mom&pop dining options, clubs, bars, + two 24hr diners within stumbling distance.
Above average hotel stay. Had an issue with my door lock and engineering was up to fix it in no time. Housekeeping did a great job. Nice view from 12th floor NW corner room.

Close to most public transport

Nice hotel . Got it through Expedia so price was right. Enjoyed visit. Restaurant on site not great. Eat elsewhere. Staff friendly and helpful.

Thank you for choosing the Palomar. As much as you enjoyed the hotel, we're sorry you didn't love Square as much. They typically do a great job. If you return and don't feel like taking a 2nd chance, the good news is that Rittenhouse Square is a hot bed of great dining options.

Hotel staff pays no attention to barking dogs.

Posted Aug 14, 2016
Pros: The air conditioning.
Cons: Management
Location: Location is good. Taxis nearby. Central. Expect to be taken to the cleaners by restaurants in that area, best to eat a little further out.
Hotel staff paid no attention to the loudly barking dogs, intolerable, in the communal reception room. The "wine reception" held daily appeared to come as a surprise every day. Major objection, nowhere to sit in room except on the bed. Noise transmission room to room was unacceptable. Being a fan of Kimpton, and a member of their loyalty club, I was very, very disappointed. One had to search for the ice machine, and the phones did not function - for example, wake up call was permanently busy, and calling the desk generated a call 1 hour earlier than requested. The Sofitel directly across the street is a better bet. Stayed in both.

Thank you for choosing us. While a/c is important with the summer we've been having, it's obviously disappointing that is was the only real "pro" for your trip. As one of the few pet friendly hotels, we are a popular destination for our four-legged friends on weekends and holidays, but we do have pet free floors if you wish to escape them. There's no surprise to us about the nightly wine reception, it's actually amazingly popular (again, especially on the weekends). Sorry about the hide and seek with our ice machine. Given the limited space due to the historic structure, we could only fit one on the 4th floor in the fitness center. But we'll happily deliver some if you give room service a call. But...that would require your phone to be working properly, and I sympathize with your loss in confidence with it given the struggles with the wake up call.

Perfect

Posted Aug 10, 2016
A stylish vibrant hotel that couldn't be better in any way. The location, room, bed, bathroom, lobby, staff were wonderful. In fact, the staff was better than perfect: the warm and welcoming front desk gave us an amazing restaurant recommendation and, as we were checking out, a housekeeper raced down to bring us the charger I had absentmindedly left behind.

Very chic hotel

Posted Aug 9, 2016
Pros: The rooms and the free drinks offered in the lobby.
Rooms were very clean and the overall hotel was chic and modern. Staff is also very friendly. Room is small but still comfortable. Great location and close to a lot of good restaurants.

Nice hotel but disorganized service

Posted Aug 7, 2016
The hotel is very nice and in a great location. But the service was slow and disorganized, they said they'd have breakfast bars, but there weren't any, they gave us coupons for cookies, but never brought them even after asking twice, and didn't have any chargers to lend even tho they said they would!

Thank you for staying with us. Sorry to hear our execution was a little off while you were here. We do feature a trail mix bar in the morning along with fresh fruit at our coffee station. The missing cookies and chargers are definitely misses by the team. Thank you for the feedback.

Pretty hotel close to the action

Posted Aug 7, 2016
Nestled in the downtown heart of Philly, this hotel is a quiet and spacious place to come home to at the end of a busy day. Friendly staff and valet attendants, great amenities, comfortable bed, within walking distance to Insomnia Cookies, Federal Donuts, Steve's Prince of Steaks, and more! We enjoyed our stay!

I feel as if I wrote this review myself. You listed three of my favorite spots to eat! There are about 20 more in the Rittenhouse neighborhood alone (including Giwa and Dandelion). Thanks for staying with us!

Over rated, over priced.

Posted Aug 5, 2016
Pros: Location
Cons: Service and lower prices.
Location: Location was good walking distance to many restaurants and down town events.
The hotel was well located downtown with good surrounding restaurants. The hotel was overpriced,we expect higher standards when asking for those rates. For one night during the AACC conference they quoted $950.00 for King bed, outrages the rate should be more like $250.00. Not a happy camper. With this experience do not recommend.

Sorry to hear about your disappointment with the property. During highly compressed times, like citywide conventions, rates tend to be higher than average, but $950 is not a rate we would have had except for maybe a suite including room and tax. Rates around $250 are available throughout the year for sure.

Simply nice

Posted Aug 1, 2016
This place is top notch and service it's small yet you feel like it's a large hotel. The rooms are really nice aesthetic very similar to Lenny Kravitz design. I would recommend this place next time I'm in Philly because words located also is very walkable and there's all these perks they really do take care of you nice restaurant downstairs nice little amenities and also it's just a stress-free place.

We feel cooler just reading Lenny Kravitz and us mentioned in the same breath. Thanks for flattering us. And thanks for choosing the Palomar. It's hard to beat the location in Rittenhouse Square.
