pleasent stay

Posted Aug 25, 2015
Location: close to everything. very convenient
I like the fact that you can only access your room when you swipe your key in the elevator, nobody else can access the floors unless they have a key.

Best Hotel for the Historic District

Posted Aug 23, 2015
Pros: The Staff (and I have NEVER said that of any hotel I've stayed at)
Cons: not a lot, parking and room cost was a bit high, but undersatndable
Location: It is an IDEAL location for a historic Philly trip (right across from Independence Mall) Almost everything is walking distance
Everything about our stay was incredible. The hotel had the most accommodating staff of ANY hotel I have ever experienced. The location was perfect for our trip, you could almost see Independence Hall from our room. The restaurant that was attached (The Red Owl) was great and if that's not your bag, there are like a million other places within a short walking distance. Overall a great stay and very memorable staff!!

Great place to stay in downtown Philly!

Posted Aug 17, 2015
Pros: Location, proximity to Reading Terminal Food Market and the Airport-bound SEPTA from Jefferson Station. Comfort, courtesy and great shower head!
Cons: Getting there from Philly Airport is a nightmare as SEPTA train from Airport runs infrequently. Monaco should offer FREE COURTESY SHUTTLE, FREE WATER!
Location: Reading Terminal Food Market, Liberty Bell, Franklin's Burial Site, Trader's Used Bookstore, Red Owl Barn for Sunday Brunch!
Luxurious, lovely rooms, fantastic shower and striking decor! Loved the bathroom wallpaper and the creative lighting fixtures! Very nice bed!

King Deluxe room with clogged sink and no tub.

Posted Aug 17, 2015
$300+ for one night... No tub/ clogged sink and welcoming staff at counter aloof and unfriendly. I always stay at Hotel Monaco in DC , VA, etc... Trip, the young man who checked us out was rude.

The Hotel is very pretty, well appointed and has friendly staff. I love small hotels because I hate walking the long halls of the convention hotels. The rooms at the Monaco always feel like they are individually designed (even though they aren't). I would highly recommend it. Room service is excellent, too.

best hotel ever

Pros: loved the colors throughout the hotel, the furniture is beautiful, the staff was fabulous, and the food and specialty drinks were all delicious.
Cons: nothing
Location: loved the location! right in the heart of it all. our view was spectacular.
wonderful! I personally loved the fresh fruit that's added to their complimentary ice water and the optional fresh extracts you can add to it for that an extra zing. Cucumber was my favorite as well as lilac. the staff was terrific, especially the door man Andrew, he was on point with all his city recommendations.

Very nice hotel but dirty room

Posted Jul 27, 2015
The hotel was very nice and in a great location. I did have a couple of issues with the cleanliness of the room. When I brought this to the attention of the front desk they said it would be taken care of immediately. Eight hours later still not cleaned. When I complained again I got attitude from the young woman the front desk. Other than that I really liked the hotel and I got the feeling this wasn't the norm. Hope I'm right.
