Nice staff, unclean room

I checked in on Saturday night and the concierge informed me that they did not have any King bed rooms left and were going to put me in a room with two doubles. After a little back and forth, he managed to find something accommodating and I was satisfied...until I more closely examined the room.
It does not appear that the cleaning staff would vacuum or clean in between the bed and the nightstands as there was a significant amount of hair, crumbs, and other things you do not expect to find in your hotel room.
The bathroom definitely had not been mopped or vacuumed recently. Also the walls of the shower were pretty gross. I informed the staff upon check out that they needed to follow-up after the maid service came through to ensure it was properly completed. They offered a complimentary breakfast, but I declined as I had to get on the road.
